Feral seems to be tearing it up too, and i’m not sure what a bad feral rss lobby looks like.
without a good healer arms ret is pretty tough, but the cleave is amazing 
according to these forums , 2400 has always been below average. at least thats what i was told when i got elite 2400 in bfa and in slands. so who knows who is right anymore

Depends on player skill, tho.
Mage has more control than Arms/Ret/BM/Demo. But you gotta know how to use it. You’re a good player. Some mages just faceplant.
But something like BM has super easy damage profile and can win through dampening.
Most of the time in 1800-2400 nobody dies until really high dampening, and then MS specs pull ahead. Or Ret with its mega damage.
Even despite inflation, the general playerbase of the game left playing pvp is better at pvp than 15, 10, even 5 years ago. If you’re an adult with a career and responsibilities in life outside of the game, don’t feel bad about not being 2.4+ or any other arbitrary rating that people scoff at.
2.4 might be super easy for the extremely talented long-time dedicated pvp players but that’s still a relatively small percentage of the playerbase. You get a warped perspective of the game reading this forum and others because most people posting are more invested than the average player.
There’s also the situation with substances. Some of us do not like to play the game sober. If you’re like me and play the game to wind down, relax, and get your mind off of the daily grind, some drinks or mary jane are almost always going to be involved in the experience. In your deeper queue sessions when you’re pushing sweatier and sweatier rating brackets (relative to yourself), there’s always the natural regression of your play as you get more and more intoxicated. IMO its like a fun little exercise where you’re competing with a designed handicap of “lets see how high we can get in multiple ways”.
Control? I have seen BM hunters back pedal to 2400 while getting 0 traps. I can’t imagine anything being easier.

BM hunter is by far the best spec in the game for just solo carrying. The amount of control and lack of punishment is beyond over powered.

I don’t know, even at 2600 Ret’s were literally bubbling roots and would never Sanc a stun into a trap for the entire lobby.
And the BM hunter would never leave the pillar while out dmging the entire world.

I am just hoping MM doesn’t feel like crap like it did in 10.0.7
Kind of hard to mess up BM hunter in solo shuffle, you don’t even have to trap.
