Earthquake

Scary! :dracthyr_nervous_animated:

To 10 but a logarithmic scale, so a 7 is vastly more powerful than a 6. Here is a nice graphic:

Sweet, thanks.

Sheesh my Heart just skipped a beat. Just as I was reading that graph my city started blasting Tornado sirens (testing them I guess) lol.

But yeah, a 4.8 isn’t much. But hell I bet it was pretty terrifying for those in NYC high-rises.

That would be my fault. I was organizing my video game stuff and accidentally dropped my original XBox.

like the side-boob of eclipses.

I should check in with my buddy who lives in upstate New York, somewhere near the X-mans mansion he says

Big grats for real data. I’ve seen posts that 4.1 isn’t a big deal, but it depends on the epi-center and the local infrastructure; age, type, etc. If the epi center is directly under one of the 7 bridges in/out of NYC, they need to be checked

I was in a 15 story building in So. Cal. when a smallish earthquake happened. The building did exactly what it was supposed to do, that is, slide just a bit on its foundation. The result was an intact building and a slightly motion sick me. LOL.

I’m also In Orange County NY….felt it pretty good

Live about 45 minutes outside of Philly and didn’t feel it, but my son at work 15 minutes from here did and others in town did. I think it’s just my building…I rarely hear thunder when it happens too.

Felt it here in Baltimore Maryland.

Here in NYC, it reminded me of the ones I felt in Fresno years ago. Like a really big rig rolling by.

Sorry, I was backed up for weeks and finally got it out today…
