Edit: Well the blue post says now that “Earthfury was a special case” so that’s good to hear. The communication was still not good though. Thanks to the people who were being nice in this thread because when I saw that the server was gone I was really annoyed. I’m still including my original post below.
Edit #2: Earthfury is back now and I can get to my characters and the guild stuff which would have vanished. I’m changing the title of the thread and am leaving the original post up instead of deleting it. What a morning.
Looks like they Killed Earthfury without saying anything… not that I’m surprised because I suspected it. I didn’t say it because I was hoping they wouldn’t do it but yep.
GREAT communication Blizzard.
There’s a blue post full of nothing I care about the day before but they close servers without saying anything to those on it.

Where do you hope they will place your character? If one of the listed free transfer servers wasn’t desirable, where would you like to be instead?
Edit: Oh earthfury isn’t even on the original list. Didn’t know that one was getting consolidated too.

See why people wanted confirmation yesterday? Because Blizzard keeps pulling random nonsense like this. They all might be wherever, not even necessarily in the 5 elegible realms.

I still stand by the interpretation that you pick one of the servers we listed for free transfer, or we will pick one of those servers for you.
The OP of that thread was from Heartseeker, which is on the list. I have more sympathy for Mootwo (Earthfury resident) than the OP of that thread (Heartseeker residents).
That’s why I’m annoyed. No warning.
If Earthfury has been on that list I would not have made a thread on it.
I’ve spent a year on here trying to help people with server problems while Blizzard said almost nothing to people and they close a server I have characters on with no warning. So yeah I’m annoyed. Not that it’s personal but this just adds to it you know?

Sure, why not. And then they off a server not even on the list. So who knows if what they said, even if it was what you believe, will match what they’ll end up doing.

There was still a raiding guild on Earthfury too and they have no idea where their toons went. Locked for 2 weeks and no SWP for 2 weeks.

Tears is the most chad guild in this game.
6/6 with no auction house. Theyve been the only alliance guild FOR A YEAR. Absolute chads.

limbo. also known as back up. After a while they’ll show up on their destination realm but not be accessible. My guess is Sulfuras that suddenly jumped up in size but who knows. No guarantee they’ll even be together.
Either way, guild gets disbanded and guild bank gets nuked. Hope they didnt have anything worth much in there.
So what do we can do about it, i only used to play arena matches in earthfury

i thought it was funny because on Kromcrush the first time i looked it said that Earthfury was a destination server but it only had like 8 more people according to Ironforge.pro. not surprised it’s also gone, but they really dropped the ball on communicating this entire issue
Be sure to ask for your account to be granted additional game time due to Blizzards error while they work on a fix due to their poor communication. It’s the least they could do for a paying customer affected by this.
