Earthfury being merged? When? To what realm?

I heard from another player the other day that Earthfury and other very low population servers will be merged. Is there any information on when this might happen? Is there any information on what the target server will be? I did search for Earthfury in the forums , and did not see posts on this.

Probably at some point, like before Cata, so that could be the rumor. However, there seems to be no announcement.

I leveled this avatar on Era Earthfury even though the server is even deader than the Wrath version just because I get weird attachments when I’ve had good experiences on my servers and I want to wear the Earthfury server tag on the forums… but yeah if you’re just playing on Wrath Earthfury there hasn’t been anything said yet and this is the sort of thing I pay a lot of attention to. That’s why I noticed your post here in the first place.

Once a server shutdown is announced Blizzard tells people to free transFer off and then doesn’t say where anyone is going until later so it’s best to decide on your own.

Thank you for the information. Is there a specific place Blizzard posts this type of info? I don’t mind watching for it, new to using the forum.

Last time they gave like 8 weeks notice of closing down the realms so you can just check every once in a while.
