To the devs,
Love Earthen wall, came back to WoW after a long break and always loved resto shaman back in the day. Earthen wall is a great addition to the toolkit, sadly its animation is incredibly hard to see even when you know it’s there…so you can imagine how hard it is to see when playing with pugs that DON’T know it’s there.
Even when I tell my teammates in arena or M+ that i’ve dropped it a lot of them have trouble seeing and somehow manage to walk out of it anyway.
Any way we could change this animation to something more reasonable to see? Love the ability, lets make it so people know it’s there.

I agree… almost happens all the time.

+1 from me as well. When it goes down during moments of anything else (dungeon or raid) the little dirt ring it makes is so low on the visibility scale. I get the idea of telling people to stack and it won’t matter but having something to connect to that visually would be nice.

I try to always drop healing rain first then earthen right in the middle of the rain so the group has a better visual with the contrast but I shouldn’t have to and in arena you literally don’t press healing rain for any reason

I don’t even play resto very often, but I totally agree. It’s a great spell, but needs a much better visual.

Somehow, the artists do wonderful Earth animations for enemies, NPCs, and environmental effects, but somehow Shamans get the crappy day-one intern efforts.
Just look at the cool things the rock dudes from Highmountain can do, or the sundering effect on the way to Oregorger in BRC in WoD.
Then look at Sundering. Bah.

For the love of god and all that is holy can we please fix this?
I get it. The animator did a beautiful, subtle, earthy vortex and should be proud. In practice though, it is the worst ever. “Stand in the swirling dirt, that blends in with the dirt!” Any out door dungeon it’s especially bad. Ya’ll know how to do adaptive textures, let’s make it happen here please.
