Earthen seem like such a boring decision

“You think you do, but you don’t” ~ J. Allen Brack. Blizz Con 2013

Im sure the artist team can be quite creative when it comes to changing their “eyes” and facial bandages design as well as their colours emitted from within and their wrappings.

They wouldnt necesarily have bones, but a pile of ash would probably do with some faded bandages poking out.

I mean, Blizz could do that. Seems like a lot of work on top of needing to give them a brand new model.

Your childhood memories are going to be just that, Chuck E Cheese is getting rid of the Animatronics in ALL but 2 locations.

My copium is that in Midnight, one of the elf tribes we’re supposed to be uniting will be naga granted an elven humanoid form.

As in, we work to cleanse them of their N’zoth snakey taint?

I mean … what else are they doing with the subscription fees and all that money people are dumping on their in game shop?

That’s a very disingenuous way to describe them. You don’t have to like them, but come on. They aren’t phoning it in with their customisation options.

I’m surprised there weren’t efforts to revert any naga to kaldorei in the whole game’s lifespan.

Granted, there’s no telling how old most of them are. We saw some who were old enough to be amongst those first cursed, but are all the naga immortal/ageless? How many of the those born naga know about their race’s history, and if it is common knowledge, would any want to change?

I like to think it’d open up a whole new kind of horror for a born naga. They’d have to get used to dry skin, legs, the difference in how the bodies work (naga lay huge clutches of eggs). And they wouldn’t be at home in the ocean anymore unless they learned druidism.

That one mechagnome in Borean Tundra knew how to revert flesh gnomes to forged gnomes again. I’m sure it’s possible since the naga is an old god curse too.

The Earthen are made of stone, have wire for hair and eat gems for buffs, what’s not to like?

Not fully.

Maybe naga that broke off from Azshara and the void alliance and get blessed with the option to take a humanoid form when needed?

Not really disingenuous. They are blueish/grey (or purple) dwarves with females having more luxurious beards than the kul tirans.

Their racials are interesting, but theyre just arbitrary numbers with descriptions. Those effects that could be reworded to fit any race.

The character models though… same fight, run, walk, swim, sitting, talking animations. All they have done is retextured already existing assets

Interesting. Is there any more that indicates the Naga don’t like their current form?

Would be cool to get more from them. Have we ever interacted with a neutral naga outside shadowlands? Admittedly, as one can tell, I’m not conversant in naga lore.

You’re going to be real disappointed when they add Wildhammer in Twilight and Frostborn in Last Titan.

Dwarven supremacy is at hand.

Sadly not this is PURE copium.

I’m sure there are some Naga that aren’t super thrilled about Azshara.

The big thing isn’t getting rid of their form it’s half the fun of naga. But turning it like the Dracthyr or Worgen forms vs their visage and Human ones respectively would be cool.

I do understand the reasoning behind them having an elf form for that expac, and know that people love elves… I’d prefer no elf form. Not only do I not think it is needed for them to make sense in the setting, I truly believe letting them turn into elves hurts the fantasy and identity. Just pop some legs on them when mechanics require them.
