Earthen are the least played race, behind even Mechagnomes

I’ve been working on leveling this guy, and I’ve noticed I haven’t seen a single other Earthen since the racial starting area.

Is it the passives? Is there just no real desire for their race?

Visually, I think they look good. The heavy footsteps are another nice touch. Just shocked to see so few.

I play earthen because I like the visuals and fits the theme i go for.

That said, the racials are terrible and the voice lines are boring af.

The race is just a gold sync lol. No thank you. Have enough of those in the game already!

Nobody asked for dwarves with a Ben Stein voice. They’re utterly boring and pointless. I haven’t bothered to do anything to unlock them because I will never make one. There are two dwarves already and both are better options.

They are best for tanking warriors so yea they should be played more. Better than any other race in the game at that. By a long shot.

Only upside about that is you only need to eat once and the buff is permanent until you change it.

Yeahh. I could see the voice lines turning people away.

Yeah the race actually saves gold…

However most classes are after a primary stat food buff not secondary stat, so these kinda suck. Azerite Charge is not usable, just a gimmick I think they wanted to add another “Charged” spell which I wont use as a low damage/threat tank.

And I couldn’t even tell you without looking them up what the other racials even were…

By eating a gem that costs 2k instead of a beledars bounty that costs 20g?

Beledar’s bounty goes away after an hour, even the hearty kind. That gem an earthen eats gives a permanent food buff that never goes awya ever.

Yes… that gem I ate once in season 1 and the buff lasted forever since.

I’m certain with more time, we’ll likely see more. I know there are still people out there ignoring side quests in general even if it unlocks a race. :hourglass::robot:

I still kind of actually want to swap to mechagnome, if my group would let me :).

However they want me to play Dwarf or Night Elf. The racials are too good for competitive play, and that’s bound to bias metrics hard by themselves.

I think it would be better to have a system where we could pick from a set of primary and secondary racials and let us choose our character, instead of saying “Want to play Mythic+, Dwarf…”

that would not work out to well while i would like that
but the most racial players would pick is the orc stun reduction racial

Hard to be excited about a race that doesn’t even sound like they want to be here. Nerubian was the obvious play for the player race. They’re a race from WC3 (kinda). They ally with the player character during the campaign (kinda) and they got an ultra lame elf-like body form.

Horde dwarf isn’t terrible, I guess.

Now that’s interesting lol. Why doesn’t the tooltip say that?! I read the tooltip and went “YUCK!”

I haven’t seen anyone even playing them in the starter area, but my server is full of end game raiders.

That’s what originally turned me off but I’m warming to them.

earthen are boring…there i said it.
it’s not exciting to play a race that arguably already existed in game and is just a lazy reskin of dwarf.

Nerubian, Naga, Haranir, Tuskarr…those are ones that i wanted to play.
