I dont know much of anything when it comes to class lore, why races have access to some but not others… im clueless.
So I’d like to know why Earthen cant be druids lore wise… I was hoping since they took away DK they would add druid… but it seems all dwarf variances cant be druids
I really wanna play a druid, but I really wanma play a Earthen. Kinda wish I had both ngl but I will do what I must and main 2 characters for TWW I guess
Anyone have a suggestion on a video for the class lore?
Frustratingly, there are actually npcs in TWW who basically are earthen druids - the Freysworn. They just apparently didn’t go all the way with the shapeshifting unfortunately.
Earthen is a “Titan-made being” thing, so they are very connected to the cosmic power of Order (Order Realm is the Titans’ homeland).
They have no connection with the Emerald Dream and the Cosmic Power of Life, wild gods and etc.
The power of Paladins doesn’t come only from the Light but from any cosmic power or “group of entities” (like the Loas for Zandalari Trolls, An’she for Tauren).
In fact, it’s technically possible to have Void Paladins or Death Paladins (Death Knight?), who would be strengthened by the Void/death cosmic power, respectively. Like a “Order Paladin” that the “power” comes from the their faith on the Titans.
EDIT - ERRATUM: They don’t channel their powers from “any cosmic power” like i falsely said before, but channel (or are gifted with) the Light from different sources (like the loa Rezan, for example), not just from the Cosmic Realm of Light. (I guess? not sure anymore
You’re right, I got confused with the realms on the WoW’s Cosmic Chart.
Sorry for the confusion.
I didn’t intend to diminish that comment or the OP; I was just responding to a question, though I made a mistake when citing the order of the information.
But sorry to ask, why purist?
‘Purists’ are usually the ones who resist any new race/class combinations based strictly on their interpretation of the lore and based on the strangest notion of cultural identity.
It’s really annoying that people say ‘Lightforged Warlocks make no sense’ without any real justification, but when you bring up the internal logic of what Lightforged truly are, they straight up ignore you.
Well, thats fair but I never said I’m totally against “all races - all classes.” I’m totally okay with it as long as they write a good enough background to justify it. I think that’s fair.
Lightforged Draenei Warlock is kind of fair to exist, considering that the combination was added after the defeat of the Burning Legion, so it’s possible to consider a role-play that makes sense.
I’m an RP weirdo, so anything related to story “triggers me.”, but that’s a “me problem.” lol
But I agree with you that being too puritanical about certain things can be harmful.
Sorry to ask, but, why extremely incorrect? Genuinely asking, I always thought Paladins, like Priests, could “channel” powers from various cosmic "sources…
(I’m not saying you’re right or wrong, just Humbly asking)
Could have been done in a way that doesn’t suck though…
LF locks’ demons would be epic with they were subjugated with holy shackles/collars etc.
holy/fel just isn’t a combo that makes a ton of sense to me. It’s wearing pink and orange. Sure you can, but must you?
