Why are the Earthen Allied Race considered the first Neutral Allied race available to both Alliance and Horde, when MoP went Live we had Panda race that you could play both sides…are they not considered a Neutral Allied race, since you can pick which side you want to play on.
They are neutral, but not an allied race. Allied races refers to the ones we have to unlock.
So its just a play on words used to make it look like they are the new bright thing for TWW…thought I had to unlock Panda too since only way to have a Panda character was to buy the MoP expansion and play it.
Oh, so now I know the difference. Makes sense.
Allied means joined by or relating to members of an alliance…so to me the Panda are Allied too. They came out of the mist and joined either race now.

No, it’s just explaining what they are. We had a neutral race in pandaren and dracthyr which are just made available with their particular expansion. And we’ve had a bunch of faction specific allied races since BfA. But this is the first time we’ve had a neutral allied race. The words make it look like the thing it is.
You can just call it neutral unlockable if you want. That’s all it is. Everything else is just lip service.
Dracthyr too

Allied Races are those that are unlocked through storylines, rep, etc. They’re considered a “prestige reward” for playing through the content, so they start at a higher level, are given gear and (used to be) bags, along with their own tabard and mount. They have no starter zones, either. Think of them kinda like a Hero Class, but in this case, a Hero Race.
Base races are introduced from the very start, have no requirements for unlocks, begin at level 1 with nothing but a starter zone.
