Earth Warden Shaman TANK

After all these years of people asking and now, WoW Classic SoD finally giving us tanking shamans proving they are fully capable of the task. Why not add A Earth Warden type spec to these secondary specs in War Within? Druids Were givin 4 specs for the task to separate cat and bear. Now with these secondary specs why not give shaman the abilities to tank? It seems like nows the time.

There are no secondary specs.

the reason why for this was from the classic era and to wrath i believe
was due to the confusion/headache and picking the dps or tanking talents just to move down the tree

Nah , I prefer The Rock over earthen warden whatever

Excuse me Hero Talents.

gimmiegimmie
i like the idea of a shammytank or shank if you will

Oh im fully aware of that. What im trying to say is out of all the classes in WoW for 20 years only Warriors, Shaman, and Paladins have ever used shields, for shamans the shield is a useles equip that has stats that are easy replaced by staffs, it provides little to no blocking, and barely any damage mitigation. The Talent for the Shield Specialization from classic to i think wrath was completely useless and nobody used it. But with the implementation of SoD Runes you can clearly see the capabilities of a Tanking Shaman if givin that choice as a Hero Talent.

You must not PvP.

But hero talents do not function as a secondary spec.

Take shado pan for monks.
After dealing x amount of damage and spending x amount of energy, they do bonus damage to the enemy.

That the hero talent.

Its not role changing, its not even really gameplay changing.

Its not something you can put a tanking spec on to for a dps spec.

Tanking Shamans could be made possible today and was indeed originally intended. Tank Shamans would have their own talent tree.

Will never happen. We’ve been asking for years and Blizzard has continually given us the middle finger.

I think they should add one more class to the game who’s niche isn’t currently covered, a tinker class, and then after that they should start adding new specs to existing classes to cover some of the other frequent requests that don’t really warrant a new class. Shaman tank spec, rogues could get a bard spec, DK could get a ranged spellcaster necromancer spec, priest could get a holy damage dps spec, gladiator warrior, etc etc.

The main issue I see is that new specs couldn’t be a major expansion feature unless they added a new spec for every class at once. And that would be super weird for druids.

I call it shtank lol

Actually, I do pvp and have played all 3 specs in arena. Wearing a shield provides what? 5% chance to block with less then 5% damage mitigation? Again its a pretty useless equip unless the block % was above 15 or 20% just to make up for that pitiful damage mitigation of armor. In classic-wrath the shield talent was atleast usefull in that regard giving more block % and more block value. Then it just dissappeared. The shield became an accessory.

What would shaman tank even do differently.

Now… if it was a tank that tanked with a pet (earth ele) i am interested. But i don’t think wow players are ready for that.

These numbers are huge in PvP.

And FYI, it doesn’t look like you PvP in an even semi competitive way. No arenas done? Is this experience perhaps on another account?
