I don’t understand earth elemental leveling as a resto shaman. Can’t we have a water elemental instead that casts healing waves on a tank or spams chain heals?
Same with elemental a lightning elemental that casts lightning bolt on the target or spams chain lightning.
Earth elemental can go to enhancement shamans
Earth Ele is an old staple, and it’s really nice when your tank dies out of nowhere. More eles would be cool (water for resto, fire/storm for ele like they have, wind for enh?), but no reason to axe Earth from each spec

I don’t know how Shammies will get water now that Frost Mages have been established as the water elemental summoner. Would be a nice way to round it out though.
While an extra elemental would be nice. Earth elemental is really, really good. Like really good. It can save you many, many times. I used to love that old azerite trait that increased its damage hut unfortunately they took it out.
As above, Earth Elemental is amazing utility for dungeons, and you’re effectively asking to Prune it for 2/3 of the spec.
Fine, ask for a Water Elemental for Resto, but just because you don’t find a use for an extremely valuable utility, does not mean others share the same thoughts.
BTW, Ele has Fire Elemental baseline, with a talent to change to Storm.
