Hey guys,
Everyone knows that gold farmers/sellers are cornering the black lotus market by abusing eagle eye. They get in groups, rotate eagle eyeing every lotus spawn in the map and then call out when it spawns and everyone in the raid rushes to get it. This is nothing new, but it is really reaching absurd levels with nax. Since nax requires a lot of consumables, and the gold farmers are cornering the market, lotus prices on Sulfras are over 250g, and flasks are over 400g at times.
Let me give you an idea of what just happened to me (and happens all the time). I try to get black lotuses to farm for flasks for nax raiding, you know, to experience game content. I patrolled around Silithus for 2 hours or so and eventually found a black lotus. A hunter was already on the way and we got there at the same time, he was training some mobs with him because he knew he can FD. Luckily the mobs did aoe damage so it interrupted his pick and since I am a warlock, I had my pet tank and I picked. We both failed because the mobs kept doing aoe attacks. Then about 10-15 seconds in, 3 more hunters came. Eventually one of them picked the lotus.
Think about that for a second, within 10 seconds of me getting to a black lotus not 1 or 2, but 4 hunters showed up… let that sink in… This was at 10 am in the morning, and 4 gold farming hunters are in a group, rotating eagle eyes on the whole map and then swarming when the lotus spawns. This is ridiculous and it has been this way for 6 months. We are trying to experience game content… they are selling gold and corning the market.
Its much more than time to not allow eagle eye to see herb nodes. Please blizzard, for sanity sake, this needs to be done.
