DR flying is ok for long distance travel.
For anything else it sucks.
DR is the deal breaker for me.
I understand what was said.
Now it’s just got to show up in game to be confirmed, and there’s a year wait to see.
Think I’ll still hold off and wait for a while after release to see if it does show up.
Shame if they let DR flying ruin what sounds like a very fun game.

This is a big part of the problem (if true), much like Ion trying to remove flight in the first place, he knew it was going to be unpopular, but he had no idea how much. He’s completely disconnected from the average player, to call him out of touch would be the understatement of the century.

im sure he spoke up about it, pretty sure it was that one guy that got fired, cant recall his name, when he talked about no flight in WoD , he seemed giddy.

What accessibility problems do you have? They’ve added ways to drastically turn down the effects, and pressing the buttons is no harder than attacking something. If anything once you hit skyward ascend twice you only have to press a button every few seconds if you want.

For the umpteenth time. Ion wants you to only raid at the mythic level and have no flying at all, not pathfinder, not anything.
Any other item you’ve got in mind – you’re putting words in his mouth.

Is this why they didn’t mention raid or M+ during any of the presentations? Is that why they specifically only talked about open-world and casual content?
Newsflash, a large majority of people really like dragonriding and that’s why we’re getting it in the future. Ion isn’t some boogeyman out to get the casuals.

Just because you don’t understand something, doesn’t mean it isn’t a reality for other people. I cannot for the life of me understand why someone would actively lobby against people that have these issues, what harm could it possibly do to you if they kept old flying instead of DR?

personally I don’t mind one way or the other, but I think for some it’s just about a uniformed experience and making sure some content isn’t trivialized. Some people may have enjoyed certain treasure finding missions or quest types that may be mildly challenging if using dragonflight, but would be completely trivialized by normal flight. For example if you could collect those coins with normal flight it would really trivialize them.

Doing dungeons/reaids requires more mental control and reflexes than dragon riding. If you can play the game its not an issue.
