Dying in Dungeons/Raids respawns you back into a Graveyard

Come’on I’m trying to look important enough to get an invite let me social engineer this.

This is so ludicrous and posts like these way back when instead of the overwhelming positivity WoW actually had got us into the state we’re in with BFA.

Spawns are spread out everywhere. What this does is give you incentive to take things slow, make sure to do it right, and learn mechanics of dungeons / mobs. To actually theorycraft on the fly and realize (I take this much damage from X, Y, Z) and to plan accordingly while still having a bit of a good pace.

If we got spawned at the start of the dungeon like retail it would be the same as Retail. Pull until you can’t handle it, then do it again, and again.

This way we have people thinking about the actions having an actual consequences. It helps make everyone better at the game and in the end - everyone wants everyone to get better.

This incentive is plastered all over Classic WoW, BG Rez timers, inspecting someone else’s gear, seeing someone else’s mount, ect. This creates a playerbase always trying to better themselves and get to that next step so that someone can look at them and go “Wow, I can’t wait until I’m that powerful!”

OP is clearly someone who hasn’t played dark souls or might hate the series.

I’m just fine with death being unfairly punishing. Don’t make mistakes. Game’s not that hard.

Classic ain’t harder in any way, shape or form. Harder would imply more difficult. Time consuming =/= difficult.

Time consuming = time consuming.

I’ll do the corpse runs until I don’t feel like it. As the healer I can just leave and find another group. I like knowing that when I leave one of the dps or tanks is going to have to hearth back to a main city while the others sit around and wait for them to come back w/ a new healer.

This is why you bring Hunter Engineers with Jumper Cables. Feign Death during the wipe, Jumper Cables on the Healer.

Layering isn’t sharding. Layering stays within the realm you play on.

They’re using layers to reduce server load so they don’t have to create as many and run the risk of them dying out.

The layering complaints are crap anyways. I bet layering lasts roughly week, two at most but that’s generous IMO.

All you had to do was tell me that.

wow was based on everquest, functionally. but they made improvements to everquest’s unforgiving parts. for example if you died in everquest, if someone wasnt there or alive to rez you, you had to run back to your corpse fully visible with no armor or weapons or money, cause its all on your corpse.

and since the dungeons were just zones and not instanced, you would not respawn at the entrance once you zoned in. you had to had to hunt down your corpse inside the dungeon in order to loot it. and it could be in some gosh awful place, surrounded by respawned mobs.

oh did i mention, if you were not a class that could bind yourself, you would have to run from perhaps several zones away. wow corpse runs are so easy by comparison its almost funny

This guy gets it, autoattacking mobs 1 by 1 during 2 hours =/= skill.

I mean, OP is entitled to voice his opinion. However, like most if not all other threads suggesting changes, it will not be welcomed in the Classic forums.

At this point, it’s not hard to understand what the Classic-ers wants and are expecting: an unaltered version of Vanilla. Suggesting otherwise is pointless, whatever the suggestions may be.

Once we say yes to 1 tiny QoL change, then the door is wide open to all the others. Why this one and not that one or that one?

if this is the game we all want then why is anyone asking for a change ?

Nightlynx’s comment convinced me otherwise. I see now why Corpse Walking should stay.

If you die inside a raid or dungeon, wait to be rezed. If your group abandons you, rez at the cemetery and take a break. :sunglasses:
