So my understanding is with 9.1 an issue was supposed to be resolved with flickering in certain zones (such as Bastion and Ardenweald), especially for DX12.
I was one of many affected. When I first experienced this issue, I was running a GTX1080 at modest settings. Originally on DX12 I had the issue, but switching to DX11 solved it.
Now I am running an RTX 3070 OC and prior to 9.1 I was able to use DX12 and it looked great! Driver was the latest 471.11 and still is (the driver was updated prior to patch).
Well guess what. Now effects such as the souls going into the Maw and the River of Souls are flickering/flashing so badly and so fast that it is kicking off an epilepsy issue.
Going back to DX11 yet again fixes it, but it feels like such a waste to even have a DX12 option if it doesn’t work–especially since it was supposedly fixed.
TL;DR: DX12 graphics were fine pre-patch but ironically in what appears to be an attempt to fix flickering, it’s now caused it.
