Yeah I know I got some outdated stuff. You’d be surprised how well wow runs on it though. Anyways, im toying around with some stuff and am kinda curious…
When I put the game on dx 11, my fps drops a little and my gpu usage goes up to 95-100%. Little laggier on dx11. cpu sits around 25-30% and my memory sits around 50-60%.
When I put the game on dx12, my fps goes up some and my gpu usage goes completely to 0%. Not as laggy on dx12. cpu sits around 25-30% and my memory sits around 50-60%, same as on dx11.
I know dx12 performs better and looks better, but should I be concerned about wow not using my gpu much if at all?
Ive read online that games should be using your gpu as much as possible? not sure if thats true or not, but been googling all day and its just strange that my setup doesnt use my gpu at all.
heard that dx11 doesnt do anything now it’s using 12 anyways. the dropdown menu for it should be removed.
no idea if it’s right or not. dude seemed legit but idk
edit: it was “MysticalOS WoW” on youtube. he kinda looks like asmongold lol

yeah i know thats why i was wondering if i used dx11 would it take some of the workload off of my cpu. but it doesnt even seem to as the cpu and memory stay the same when i switch back and forth. just the gpu changes.
