I don’t think there was any demand for human models so portly that they look like Gramma and Gramps.

Where did you get the idea that I wanted Dracthyr to be restricted to human women as a visage form for female Dracthyr? It’s not even comparable. They’re still Dracthyr. It’s just a visage.
Yupp. Giving an extremely unpopular race more customizations doesn’t make it any less unpopular.
This started this by giving Alliance Blood Elves (Void Elves) and Horde Night Elves (Nightborne) then sharing more and more stuff instead of having faction specific stuff and so on and so on but now Earthen Dwarves are somehow the line, really?

particularly High Elves and San’lain already exist in the game. What would be the notable difference between these 2 and a blood elf or velf that already exists today? Would they have a new and exclusive model? If not, I don’t think they’re worth the effort.
Ogres, Setraks, Vraykul would be good options I think.
They are still using the female human model… in order to better fit in… as Horde members… I don’t make the lore in this game. It is what it is. xD
Now you can have Dwarves in the Horde, walk around in a Warden set and other night elf transmogs, cherish your dozens of Alliance mounts, throw tea parties with the Night Elves in their home, celebrate with the Void Elves in their domain, and, if you feel like it, take the Worgen for a walk in Gilneas.
And most in the thread are against it…
The beards for women? Yes. I wanted it for dark irons though so the heritage helm looks right. But the earthen look cool too.
As for the race, sure. Very few if any people had been crying out for earthen. But they are here because they are in the story first and foremost. If blizz hadn’t said from the start that they would be playable the forums would be full of threads asking for them to be. It’s what people do with every new race.
Just for that, Blizz is gonna give us dwarves 4.0 in 12.0. This time the Dwarves are angry!

There are no males or females here, only body types and neither are a specific gender. Both body types should be able to use beards.

Yupp and these were people who willingly spent a lot of money to attend Blizzcon. So, they were probably some of the biggest Blizzard fans out there (and the ones with the best budget). But even Blizzard simps are just thinking, “wtf is this nonsense?”

Would have been much more happy if we got iron born vrykul and dwarves as a paired race… instead… we got rock dwarves. Nerubian would have been much more cooler, right now I’m just hoping we get all showcased races in ww.
In my experience every time there’s Naga or Ogres at the top of a poll, it’s because the other options are even more silly, and there are no High Elves in said poll.
Also, people just like elves; pre-TBC Night Elves were very popular. Then the elven population soared with Blood Elves. Even the over-night sensation of Void Elves, as ridiculous as they are- highly popular race. Maybe the most popular Alliance race atm?
These are all just placeholders for what payers really want: High Elves.
Why does a loud sect of folks say ‘no more elves’? Because this is the Internet age where a lot of people let their most mean-spirited versions anonymously come out and try to ruin things for other people.
Blood elves are high elves… they simply renamed themselves blood elves due to events.

Not really. Pretty races are just popular. That doesn’t necessarily mean there’s a large demand for more carbon copies of the same one we already have.
I don’t think it’s mean-spirited to want something more unique.
That has literally been the discussion thoughL High Elves. For as long as Blood Elves have been in the game, almost 2 decades.
To pass dismiss the root of the discussion as ‘pretty race’ is disingenuously reductive.
