I believe they will, i also think blizzard is scared to make any new races that are conventionally attractive, based on their recent history, but i do love my tinfoil.

My iPad also autocorrected my “elf” to “nelf” for some reason. I guess I type it more than I thought.

But yeah human, elf and/or fox.

Now THAT is a race nobody asked for, lol. Wish mechagnomes. Would’ve preferred just regular mechagnomes.

Honestly, I’m still holding out for Yaungol. We literally helped them join the horde.

Most universes that have dwarven races, the female have beards. Some to the point that men and women are almost impossible to tell apart. That would be glorious.

Mechagnome should have been a customization option for gnomes. Hell, as much as I love tauren I can’t deny that antlers instead of horns isn’t really a new race either…

The Nubians are a huge part of the lore, kinda crazy that they didnt do a nubian based race. I think its also cause they can’t be assed or dont have a system to easily convert all old gear to fit new skeletons?

At least they have a unique death animation of turning into a pile of dust and if you wanna be really creative you can recreate the Jailer as an Earthen for personal lols.

Yes I know. I played EverQuest and seen the one bearded female dwarf on Xegony.

Pretty sure he rolled it to make people laugh.

I believe that was the Taunka. But yes, I’d love yaungol and taunka as customization options for tauren. Not as a new race tho.

If they made what players “asked for” when it came to races, it would be nothing but freaking elves. No thanks.

Modern blizzard really don’t care and really have no creative knack at all.
Like, at all.
They literally just reskin stuff with even more basic shapes than the model originally had prior (see Zereth Mortis, new GMOD skin, etc)
Couldn’t eve be bothered (not skilled enough?) to add xmog to dracthur, or more than 2 visages, or more than 1 class? And a new race or class has always been a primary xpac pillar feature.
Can’t make this stuff up.

I dunno, stuff like Sethrak and Naga and Ogres usually come out on top of polls, that I’ve seen.

We likely won’t get a “new race” because they built themselves into a corner with how they handle armor and such on a technical level. At best we’ll get something that modifies existing character models.

Yaungol, Gelbin, Mechagnomes, etc… All of these SHOULD be customization options for existing races, but there’s an allure for altoholics to get a “new” race, even if it’s a knockoff of an existing one.

And honestly, after Dracthyr, I’m good with them making a new race. They suck, even if the class is wonderful.
