I’m thinking of spending my character boost on this dwarf here. I’ve been looking at some offical art/fanart of dwarf priests and I really liked the way they look, but what is their connection with the light? Dwarves do not seem to be very religious, especially with their links to the Titans, the earth and archeology, which has always seemed to me to be more about their search for “cientific truth” than about faith.
The most famous Dwarf Priest is High Priest Rohan of Ironforge. He inspired Anduin to become a priest, and he was noted to be friend of the former Guardian Aegwynn and the mage Meryl Winterstorm. He served in the group Aegwynn led to stop Cho’gall from bringing C’thun back into the realm of the living.
Archaeology isn’t an agnostic or atheistic thing. There are plenty of archaeologists who are religious in the real world.
There’s at least one dwarf who worshipped Eonar, a titan, but that may be an outlier.
I think gnomes can go either way, with the scientific perspective more common. There is a religious-type gnome priest in a leadership position at Hearthglen, I believe.
