I’d like to play a DW class with Swords for the Bastion Gauntlet run. I think Outlaw sucks and Fury is too meathead for me. Looking at Frost but my god do these animations look Anime-absurd.
Is there a race with normal DW frost animations?
Orc, human, dwarf and Tauren are the most solid choices.

The current obliteration animation is amazing.
Are you talking about howling blast or something? The animation makes sense if you consider it’s a ranged attack that by lore requires activating a rune typically found on the weapon being used.
One of the things I appreciate about Blizzard is the lack of anime’esque abilities.
I dunno, I enjoy the animations. It’s one of the reasons I went Frost and leveled a DK. I’m currently a Draeni, and I like their DW animations. 2h leaves a bit to be desired (overhead smash), but DW I enjoy.

If you think the DK is “anime” I’d advise staying far away from the DH, which is the other dual wielder.

Nightelf animations are alright as are human. Velf looks silly twirling in the air on animations.

Male Tauren looks bulky and weird which is fine if you’re looking for something funny. I don’t know if female looks any better. I do really like female nightborne and void elves though. Animations are quite flowy and nice.
Zandalari trolls have the best animations. Frost strike is so epic when dw as a zandalari
Hordeside, I like tauren. Alliance, I’d do night elf. Personal preference obviously, since the obliterate animation is identical for everyone.
