Dusk/Dawn/Blessing of seasons

Are these really what blizzard thinks is a “fun” design? I’m sure if you polled the player base the majority of players are probably very disappointed that these are our choice of cap stone talents. It sucks b/c the majority of builds are saying these are best, if you want to be competitive/optimal you either play something not fun or just be at a disadvantage.

How do the rest of you hpals feel about these talents? Are you dissapointed these are the cap stones? Do you feel that the other options are not competitive enough to choose to play something else more “fun”. Both arena/m+ opinions welcome, state the type of content your talking about.

IMO Either Seal of order (CDR) needs to be nerfed so its no longer required and Zealot’s Paragon needs to be buffed to be competitive. Or Seal of order should be removed dusk/dawn should be moved in the tree and a new cap stone should be added.

Thanks

Not a holy paladin but I agree that Of Dusk and Dawn (and to that extent Seal of Order) is the most unfun capstone in history. I just play ret and people will come in and tell me that as ret you can mostly ignore the buffs because they keep rolling naturally but it doesn’t change the fact that a) to get Blessing of Dusk you have to play the spec actively wrong from time to time (i.e. you need to spend holy power instead of building) and b) I have to take a lot of talents I just don’t want or that aren’t good to get to ODnD.

Also: what made them think it would be good to make the ONLY legendary from SL that literally nobody ever took a capstone talent? I mean, honestly? That’s just pure spite. They could have easily taken Magistrate’s Judgment which would have been great for all three specs.

I usually hate the hyperbolic, impotent “threat” of saying “I quit” but Dusk and Dawn is seriously going to make me quit paladin.

Its ignorant to think that we can avoid it, it brings us up to a power level that makes us compete against other healers but it’s the WORST damn gameplay I’ve EVER experienced in my 18 years playing WoW.

You know when holy power was introduced and Blizz decided we needed to store 5 instead of 3 because it gave us room to breathe around our abilities? Well, what happened to that principle?! We’re back to juggling between full and empty.

And it is juggling, trying to play “keep up” with the buffs is so terrible, THIS is why no one went Night Fae in Shadowlands. We never knew just how BAD it was because no one was playing with it.

Honestly abysmal, terrible, monotonous gameplay. I feel so disappointed that I’ll have to find a new main or just…quit? I dunno.

Dusk and dawn isn’t bad as Retri, but as prot and holy its absolutely horrendous. although I had fun in SL with seasons as Hpal, but idk if that was due to memes or not. was fun giving it to the venthyr druid and being his top DMG.

So much this. Nothing was ever supposed to cost 5. Not abilities (JV of old), not buffs.

After playing it more and setting up some weak auras its actually not as bad as it sounds on paper. Disregard my post

Ya I agree with this. As ret I find dusk and dawn/seal of order easy to maintain. Like hit 5 HP, get dawn, spend, judge or CS spend get dusk, repeat. Prot is a whole other story. The buffs make you tanniert but I think I prefer mad paragon with SW cause you just can keep sentinel up for like half the CD duration

I don’t actually mind Dusk and Dawn, it’s an interesting playstyle. Is it the most exciting capstone, no… but it keeps it interesting and a way for me to keep improving my gameplay. But this is a prot perspective and i’ve only just switched to Prot Pally from guardian druid so im enjoying the somewhat more stimulating gameplay loop
