I was a MAJOR WoW addict from Open Beta until a few weeks into TBC. I started off on my Druid, Ember, but eventually had Lv60 Priest, Mage, Warlock and Hunter. I was all about the 40-man and 20-man raids. I was even GL briefly during one of our leadership shuffles towards the end of Vanilla. So. Much. DRAMA! lol 
The only person I kept in touch with from those days is GreenIvy. I recall there was a warrior who I really clicked with, but I lost touch with him after quitting cold turkey 2-3 weeks after TBC came out. (Little did I know I was going to miss out on arguably THE best xpac EVER. I played on a couple of private TBC servers, dealing with gankers and toxic players, so I’m familiar with most of the original TBC raids. I think Retail WotLK was sweet spot.) Outside of a handful of screencaps with the Interface turned off and a WMV file of LBRS, that’s all I have to remember the Golden Age of WoW.
I got back into Retail for the last few months of BfA, never quite catching up. Now that Shadowlands is here… I’m underwhelmed. I hate The Maw and Torghast so much - gloomy, dark, depressing, and uninteresting. Raiding is a younger man’s game; I have never been interesting in Realm First or World First achievements.
I’m trying a couple of different games like Classic WoW and may dust off my old RIFT and TERA accounts to see what the current state of those games are. Whether I stay in WoW Classic depends on whether or not the strongly-rumored WoW Classic TBC comes to fruition.
Anyhoo, I’m Valentine#12462 if anything sounds familiar. The only thing about me that may be memorable out is I was meta-gaming and seeing if I could convince folks I was female IRL before VoIP became a thing. (Remember when PUGs wouldn’t download Mumble because they used TS3 or vice versa? Adorable.) I wasn’t trans nor did I consider myself LGBTQ+; I was a bored 20-something who hopefully didn’t piss off too many folks. Now I’m full of labels, like “polyamorous panromantic demisexual North American eclectic Wiccan who keeps saying he’s done with WoW”.
