Short answer is no, it will no longer be available.
It’s probably fair to say you got anywhere between 1 to 4 weeks before it’s gone forever.
But prepatch will be on 3.3.5 balancing patch though.
I’m pretty sure pre-patch is when everything gets migrated to the new client, with the exception that… yeah. Northrend won’t be available yet.

Your dk can probably still have the black war bear instead for killing all the opposite faction leaders
Wrath has a ton of new mounts anyway, and DK gets a unique horse + gryphon. I think you’ll survive. Personally I like the undercity bone steeds, which means having to rep up undercity on my orcs. Good thing I stocked a few banks with runecloth for the new DK to flush down their royal toilet. See my thread about preparing for DK. 
I’m actually opting for undead death knight just cause I care about looks more than the little minmaxing the racials bring. A forsaken death knight is just the aesthetic man.

Polar bear, and black war bear are both solid mount choices in Wrath.
And IIRC, us Horde finally get the Venomhide Ravasaur Raptor mount from Un’goro grinding.
And once Wrath comes out, Brewfest should be right around the corner if Wrath itself does not have enough new ground mounts for you. Or you can solo Stratholme until you get the Baron’s mount.
That is one of my top ten fav mounts. (I say ten because on retail I have over 400 lol)
Yeah, that’s the only thing I’ve found myself missing about retail, the BoA mount collection.
Definitely more than 1 week, since we’ll have the Joyous Journeys Summer XP event for “a few weeks” before the pre-patch, continuing into the pre-patch.
