Duration bars cause attached frames to disappear permanently in HUD Edit Mode

While editing my UI layout the other day, I discovered that my character’s portrait frame and everything snapped to it would disappear outside of HUD Edit Mode. I tried reloading, relogging, switching characters, restarting my game client, restarting my computer, and removing all of my addons from the game files, but the only fix was to switch to a different layout. Copying/trying to create a new one while the bugged layout was selected would cause the issue to carry over on the new layout, but the defaults and other layouts were unaffected, as well as any copies made of them. I assumed it was a random bug and submitted a ticket in-game.

Today, I was able to reproduce the bug with the target portrait frame, and I believe it’s connected to the free-floating duration bars, as they were the only common denominator in the issue. Frames and any elements attached to them snapped onto the duration bars will be “hidden” alongside the duration bar when exiting Edit Mode and cannot be unhidden, even when unsnapped from the duration bar. I believe I had the portrait frames snapped to the duration bars both times when the bug occurred, as toggling the duration bars on would cause those snapped frames to reappear only in edit mode.

I haven’t seen any forum posts regarding this specific issue, so even if this isn’t high up on the bug priority list, I wanna at least make people aware that the duration bars seem to be the culprit, should this issue arise for anyone else.

I was incorrect in saying that unsnapping the frames from the duration bar doesn’t cause them to reappear, it DOES, so that seems to be the fix for this issue. Don’t anchor anything to the duration bars if you want to be able to look at it.
