My bro and I are going to level two locks together and was curious about the most efficient and fun way to do it. We recently got our holy priest/arms war duo to 60. We 2 manned several instances and liked the challenge of it. Double lock is next on our list and are curious how to go about it.
A couple of ideas we had..
go affliction and tab dot everything
go demo and 2 man elite farm in dungeons
go destro and aoe farm
The last is the one that has us most curious. We are hoping to send a vw in and aoe pull and spam reign of fire until vw is about to die and sac it then cast hellfire to finish em off. Could we effectively pull 10-15 mobs at a time doing this? (similar to mages)
Hellfire is the highest aoe damage ability in the game and we were hoping to abuse it.

No idea, but I’m curious how this turns out.
I’d say one tab dot everything and run improved void to tank, and then one run deep demo. I like the sound of AOE farming as well, though.
Warlocks can solo elites easily so unless it’s one of those guys in blasted lands immune to debuff and fear I can see this going well
2 of the same classes is great for leveling, but terrible for gearing yourselves out when both of you are rolling NEED on every upgrade.
Both summon voidwalker.
Both run in circles grabbing all the mobs.
Both stand on each other and sacrifice.
Both hellfire.

Hellfire AoE farming on a lock can be risky, due to it draining so much health, and having no slow like a mages blizzard does, but if you’re smart about it and farm enough soul shards it might be viable. I guess I haven’t really looked too much into it.
Affliction spec’d Duo leveling locks is broken OP. Get improved voidwalker on both toons, run around and you can effectively ‘AoE farm’ with the massive amounts of dots you’ll be dropping.
The sacrifice of vw adds like 2k extra damage mitigation as well as avoids interrupt.
2 locks with hellfire means you wont be doing it long.
This guy is a tailor so I should have us both a decent set of crafted gear every few levels. Plus we will probably take turns running each other through instances for some blues like sfk.
That’s what we were thinking. Or at least send eye in to pull everything. He runs his eye left and I run mine right, then after eye dies or gets canceled, have the voidwalker cast suffering to aoe taunt everything and reign of fire until void is nearly dead or loses aggro and then sac to hellfire.
We are both level 11 right now so we have a bit til we get aoe.
This is what we will fall back on but it’s nearly too safe and afraid of it becoming boring. We want the riskiness of it since we already did all the quests and have our 60s. Just looking for something a little more exciting is all.
His main is an alchemist so we could always run with fire protection pots to cut back on the hellfire suicide damage.
Im talking about when you get in the 50s -60 when you are farming pre raid gear etc.. will slow you down when you are both farming same sets.
Meh. I’d rather roll against my bro and lose than a random. lol. If it becomes too much of an issue then one of us could just swap to our 60s.
Dots ARE your aoe as a lock 
Yea yea.. I was hoping for a spellcleave hellfire spammer to give some insight on attempts to aoe farm.
It’s way too mana/shard intensive.
Once you get some spellpower dots are even sicker for farming. Just find mobs that die to one round of them and run around kiting and dotting. With all the siphons out you can lifetap mana back and dark pact as well to keep the dots rolling.
I used to farm that way with a friend in TBC he was the guy who just followed around looting the corpses so it would speed up the farming.
