Thinking of a good duo with a friend, I thought Lock / Druid would be pretty freaking great, as the druid would be able to root enemies, and would be able to either tank or heal dungeons while leveling. Also helps greatly with their Hots for life tap.
Another interesting combo was hunter / lock… I mean rogues and war can be tough for locks, but hunters counter them hard… We would be able to kite them pretty hard and enemies would have to deal with 2 pets…
Thoughts on other solid duos ? (I want to play either lock/hunter/rogue or priest maybe, my friend doesn’t mind any class) Thanks !
Druid/Rogue… both got stealth, druid can buff, root, stall and heal.
Hunter/Hunter… hunters are just good…
Pally/Warrior has really good synergy tooo, but you’ll have to worried about good kiting teams.
Disc priest/Ele-shaman PI ele shamans wombo combo… will delete people. Mana burns, and totem buffs. This comp can be caught flat footed though.
A 3min mage could work too, but only works every 3 min. while ele shaman can rip it often.
Not that good: Mage/Mage not really any synergy, and both are squishy… and exacerbates their weaknesses.
I don’t know much about it, but yeah it sounds great.
Only thing I would work with your hunter friend or whatever is make sure the locks dots, hunter stings and traps don’t interfere with each other.
Like you don’t want to Dot up a target going into a frost trap, wyvern sting, scattershot… or a hunter pet or sting to hit a seduced target.
It will just take some communication and feeling each other out.
But once you get that down I think it could be really effective.
Only weakness I could see is that you would lack some burst dps… but there are ways you can address that depending on your spec. Comps with warriors might be a pain… so viper sting/mana drain the healers… while CCing the crap out the warriors.
I personally like class stacking, druid + druid, hunter + hunter but then again I don’t think people would be keen on having 2 hunters tank dungeons with their pets.
Hunter and rogue would be excellent in wpvp, hunters can track and if any rogues ambush you you got a rogue with you.
I’m not rolling alliance, and I know you said you won’t either, so this isn’t helpful, but from what I’ve heard, Paladin/Warlock is the fastest leveling duo. Paladin can do any of the roles needed while leveling, Warlocks can pull and DoT down several mobs at once, and they both get class mounts at lvl 40 so gold farming won’t be as big of an issue as it is with other classes.
But you’re going horde so that doesn’t apply…generally speaking, I would think that any melee class + a healer is solid. Hunters, warlocks, and druids are all exceptionally quick levelers as well that bring utility, so it can’t hurt to have one of those in your composition.
