Saying anything results in being ignored at best, and in my case a kick once. It’s best to shut up and just keep running until one of the adrenline junkies slow down for 2 seconds because the selfish tank needs the quest too.
True story. I did this and the whole group killed 1 extra pack to get it.

The issue is still speedrunners. That is the subject matter and the quest discussion is a side discussion as someone provided a logical statement in counter to my own thought process. Which was a good logical argument but missed the key factor of quests being a main objective to dungeons.
Do you often find yourself insulting people that have different ideas of yourself? Why can’t we have a civil discussion and not be brutes. There was a social contract we agreed to.

I’m not being disrespectful towards anyone actually. I’m saying that there’s a world where 4 other people don’t want to do your quest, and there’s a world where 4 people also don’t know that you have a quest to complete if you don’t talk. This is very reasonable, and i don’t think is insulting anyone.
You can blame whoever you want, but guess what? Those random 4 people are also players who want to play how they play.

Pretty much every DF dungeon quest has been to kill the end boss.
Making running the dungeon as fast as possible the best way to get those quests done.
Why is it all the people who whine about players being better at the game all have hidden profiles anyway ?

Yeah, anyway. You can blame whoever you want, but at the end of the day you won’t ever finish your quest if you don’t speak up, and it’s completely fine that 4 other people veto your idea

it seems like a git gud situation for you. pugs arent there for you to rp and look around its for people to get gear and the faster you run the dungeon the faster you have a chance to get gear. best runs i have had this xpac were all sped runs. seeing those 60k+ dps from everyone including the tank was alot more fun than those slow runs where the tank pulls 2 or 3 mobs at a time and im bored out of my mind

honestly it’s usually the tank that just ignores the idea. The straight up veto was only the one time. Usually the group accepts the quest I share, the tank declines and rushes through.
