I have seen a lot of talk from people who fell behind about not allowing dungeon spam in phase 3 for leveling… please do not stop Dungeon spam it will just punish the good players who want to dungeon spam to allow sub par players to have an easier ride on the good players shoulders … without dungeon spam I will be unsubscribing for phase 3 and leaving wow for good and I know there is a large portion of your player base who will do the same

Honestly will this even be an issue in phase 3?
Scarlet Monastery is and always was insanely good XP/hour because it’s four dungeons next to each other with big pulls inside.
But what do we get in phase 3? Not a lot of dungeons will be that efficient.
On top of that, you could get 15 levels in SM in three or four days, but it’ll probably take longer to get from 40 to 50.
In other words, I doubt as many people will be able to stomach running Mauradon for a week straight and will probably go back to questing for a while.
Why would I want to be forced to quest in a jam-packed launch where every mob is dead on every layer, impossible to complete any quests, and deal with constant lag? Not to mention the griefing if it’s a pvp realm. I’d rather just spam dungeons since that’s actually playable and smoother imo and the pvp can wait until I’m max level.
People need stop stop trying to force their agenda and let people enjoy the game the way they want to play it. If they want to speedrun level cap day 1 and get bored so be it, that’s their choice. Stop trying to be the fun police.

But in all seriousness, just because people leveled up fast doesn’t mean that they’re good players, that’s a wild take.
they do tend to be the best of the best of the best at everything, though. leveling is just one thing they are better at.
ZF and Mara are very good for AoE
More like they are playing the meta classes and specs and have either taken time off work or have no jobs

Blizzard specifically designed this so even braindead people can’t fall behind. The length of phases is far too long. They nerfed BFD and will do the same for Gnomer, it has even less bosses than BFD did, and there’s ZERO other PvE content.
Not sure how normal grouping got turned into “dungeon spam”. Did it in classic and nothing wrong with it. It’s always been the best way to level.
Make aoe spells hit less, like 20dmg, or make aoe hits max 3 targets like swipe, or make aoe costs more like 1/4 of mp. Problem solved
The major problem is questing not being rewarding. Imagine most pre bis incl alternatives gears are all from quests equivalent to broken alliance in p3? And even longer quest chains. Ppl will start quest, all in all game design issue

Bad game design is when AOE ability.
Blizz doesn’t need to and shouldn’t touch how dungeon leveling works. They just need to make questing more competitve in comparison. Buff xp gains while not inside a dungeon. EZ.
I feel that outside of AOE grinding mobs in the world questing should always be the fastest way to level. It should be AOE grinding, questing and then dungeon spam. In particular on a PVP server.
Dungeon spam still has the advantage at cap from all the quests you can do for gold but shoudn’t also get the most XP/hour while avoiding PVP and congested zones.
If you look at classic, most melee tanks don’t have super good aoe dmg or threat generator. Which means if someone tries to aoe in a pull. Mostly like will get wiped. But now aoe threat seems not an issue anymore. Ppl can just aoe the entire sm cath. That is how well thought classic is and how bad sod is designed
