Will any of you bother farming dungeon sets if Tier 1 raid will already be available?
I will just bc I need a reason to run the dungeons.

Umm, yes, some dungeon sets have better bonuses for certain specs. I’m a feral and the vast majority of my pre-AQ gear isn’t found in T1.
Be prepared to farm dungeons. Especially if you want quicker farm runs in raids.

Depends on what I roll (I was decided now am undecided). If I do Rogue I definitely will. Darkmantle is my favorite looking set for rogue in game even now. May as well farm Shadowcraft since I need it for darkmantle right?

for most classes, dungeon sets aren’t very good. But a lot of pre-raid BIS is in dungeons so they will be ran anyway.

We’ve since learned that our T0 dungeon sets are pretty trash for most classes, so people who know that wont have a ton of reason to farm them other than if they want their T0.5 set or they just want the item for its appearance.
Going through gear to set up my pre-raid list for the Shaman I plan on playing I wont be using any T0.

T1 is a lot more difficult to get and you’ve got only one shot a week to get it. With dungeon sets you have multiple chances every day to get an item. And then, when it’s available you can upgrade T0 to T0.5. Also called Dungeon set 1 to 2. Also you’ll be running those dungeons for gear anyway.
The dungeons sets are the main reason I’m excited about Classic. I never got my full set and didn’t realize it was going away until it was gone.
I don’t know why it matters. It’s not as if gear falls from the sky in classic. People will get what they can get and pre-raid BiS doesn’t matter as much as the gear you end up getting.

Actually you can target specific gear quite easily.

The Druid dungeon set is not ideal for feral. You’re better off just mixing and matching gear based on stats.

Pre-raid BiS for someone who doesn’t want to raid would simply be BiS. Even more reason to seek those pieces!

Ehh, depending on who you’re asking, getting 4/8 of the hunter set is worth it, as long as you’re using Warmonger for the 3% hit.
And even then, it’s only better than the usual devilsaur set/truestrike/yadda yadda by a few points of AP afaik.

Why should I care if it is BIS or not? It is a set so - gotta collect them all! LoL

Exactly why I want it. Most of the pieces aren’t amazing and definitely better ones out there. I want to look nice walking around in town when I’m not questing or doing dungeons. So I need my dungeon set.

In order for Tier 1 to become available, someone has to farm dungeons first to gear up in pre-raid gear, although that will not necessarily be Tier 0 gear, as others have said. Anyway, if you farm dungeons on raid offnights like I usually did, you’ll probably end up getting most or all of the Tier 0 pieces anyway, and then you can upgrade them to Tier 0.5, which is a really fun questline.
