So I ran a BRD the other day with 4 60’s and a 59 warrior tank. I had originally though this wasn’t allowed, but it worked fine.
My brother went on vacation while I pushed to 60, and so he’s at 50/51. Am I able to group with him for dungeons, like ST, BRD?
Thanks for any insight you can provide.
To my understanding, you cannot group with level 60s for any dungeons unless everyone is level 60.
- Most dungeons have a 24 hour lockout timer for players under level 60. When you reach level 60, [the 24 hour lockout restriction will be lifted]
- Players who are level 60 cannot enter lower-level dungeons with players who are below level 60.
- Players who are significantly higher level than other players will significantly reduce the amount of XP a group can earn from creatures in a dungeon. This is one of the changes from Season of Mastery that is being implemented in Hardcore.
- Enemy behavior has been adjusted to make them harder to immobilize and kite, which is another change that has been brought over [from Season of Mastery](https:// worldofwarcraft.blizzard. com/en-us/news/23747032/wow-classic-season-of-mastery-is-upon-us).
- There are no phases — all dungeons and raids will be available immediately at launch.
- Dungeon quests and dungeon set quests are available at launch.
- Certain items dropped by dungeon bosses from the latest Classic Era build will be the same source of those items in Classic Hardcore.

That was my understanding as well, but it was clearly not enforced for BRD since I was able to get in there with a level 59. Very strange. Possibly a bug?
Not to doubt you but just confirming you are playing on a hardcore realm right?
I assume because BRD is considered a “60” dungeon and the ruleset specifically states lower level dungeons.

That’s a great catch honestly. I hadn’t even noticed the distinction and I’d bet many others have not either.
I did LBRS as a 60 prot warrior with a lv58 shaman, i would also like to know if there are specific rules about grouping with lowbies.
I think BRD and up are classified as lvl 60 dungeons
. The HC addon classified them this way anyway.
So I realized that my memory is bad, I’ve been spamming dungeons lately. It was Strat that we had the 59 warrior in, which makes sense with it being an endgame dungeon.
My brother came back and we tested BRD and ST together, couldn’t join the same instance at 60 and 50. Now waiting for him to get to 57ish to run strat/scholo/dm.
Sorry for the confusion.
Does it still give them a dungeon lockout just not you when running together?
Here are the basic dungeon rules
Anyone under level 60 will get a dungeon lockout when they enter or are in a dungeon where a boss has been killed.
Once a person reaches level 60, there is no longer a dungeon lockout on any dungeon.
All players are effected by the five attempt hourly dungeon lockout, though its unlikely to impact those under 60.
Level 60 players can group with non level 60 players only in level 60 instances, but are restricted from grouping with anyone under 60 in a lower level instance.
You will not get kicked out of a dungeon if you level to 60 while in an instance if you are grouped with players under level 60, and which you would no longer be eligible to enter with that group after leveling.
Were you in a raid? You can be carried by 60’s in a raid in like UBRS/LBRS and such. I assume you can make a raid and go into BRD but not sure.
Has there been a confirmed list of dungeons? I am level 60 trying to get my Hunter trinket. The dungeon finder says Sunken Temple is ranged 50-60, but no groups will take me because nobody seems to know what is classified as “low level dungeon”. I would assume since the blizzard dungeon finder has 60 as the top range It is NOT a low level dungeon.
Anyone know this for sure?
Everything after BRD is a 60 dungeon. ST and BRD are not. Strat/Scholo/DM/UBRS/LBRS are.
