There is no loot in dungeons that is worting running m+ keys or waiting for the vault. EVERYTHING is from the raid and this is pretty bad. there are no m+ alternatives to overpowered raid items.
There isnt even a good staff from m+ for casters. probably the best staff is a crafted one. The only trinket that is ok is the signet of the priory and even then you would replace it with raid items immediately. they want us to grind the raid for 6 months ok but why play m+ then?
blizzard you can do better!

lvl 10 alt. doing complain posts about 2 out of 5 loot system.
no but good luck with your future dungeon running.
Now that is a hot take if I’ve ever seen one. Dungeons are the most rewarding content in the entire game when it comes to gear since you can farm them.
being able to farm bad gear isn’t a great opportunity.
outlaw has it better than some specs. most of our bis comes from dungeon other than tier. however our best weapons and trinkets are both from raid, and the last two bosses at that.

I know it’s Sunday but seriously stop lying.
Most classes have a bis list with a mix of raid and mplus gear.

…I’ll take m+ where i can farm the same dungeon on repeat to get my item with my preferred stats
My BiS trinkets for damage tanking, defensive tanking and DPS are all dungeon loot.
Then why are so many people trying to get trinkets from Priory & Floodgate?

Full hero track with the correct stats is bad gear? Sure, it ain’t got the entire BiS set, but quite close to it. I wouldn’t call that bad for farming gear.
But there’s always raids to gear from if anyone think dungeons don’t reward enough. Funny enough, most people tend to spam dungeons for the gear though, so maybe it’s not that bad compared to what exists.
Then you also got to consider the difficulty in obtaining the gear. A +6 grants the same quality of gear as a hc boss, and it also grants twice the amount if drops per player.

yes, it is easy to get a large number of X ilvl drops, if that’s all you care about. a +6 is very easy, probably easier than many heroic bosses at least if you’re pugging.
i feel like the loot distribution is better from raid. the stuff most people actually want from m+ does not drop very often, at least not for me. running mists 50 times for changeling was a thing in a way that running whatever raid boss 50 times just to see a specific drop almost never is.
Just how many items do you want that is uniquely from raids? At best the ones I can think of is trinkets and weapons, in extreme cases it may be 1 or 2 other items too. Sure, you may have to do many runs to get what you want from m+, but the same stands for raids. Only that in raids you can’t farm them.
You can be fully hero track geared week 1 through m+ without any funneling, the same doesn’t really work for raids.
The big difference is that you can get myth track from raids and not from m+ (except for vault). If you’re not a mythic raider, m+ is without a doubt the more effective way to get good gear.
it’s not bad. it’s how it should be.
Dude trinkets and cantrips is the only reason to even run low raids anymore… put them in m+ or better and R.I.P. raiding. This thread screams bait.

Well, would you rather have full S2 hero gear, or S1 gear in most of your slots?
you’re asking the wrong guy given how much s1 gear i’m still wearing.
not many choices of trinkets/wrists/necks in this rotation but the other slots seem fine.
guess it depends on class?

I think drops could be a bit more generous… it isn’t horrid but adding a extra drop would feel better.
You end up grinding crests regardless but its less painful then running one instance 40 times for a specific weapon.

Both my bis trinkets are from raid, with there being two from dungeons that are still pretty good. However, both those trinkets have gimmicks, one is to destroy barrels that spawn (I have to target them cleave doesn’t hit them) and the other requires me standing in a circle.
I hate both of them. Trinkets with stupid gimmicks are the worst. They got rid of Rune of Power for mages (thankfully it’s long gone now) but now I have to do the gimmick that spell required for a trinket? Why? You removed RoP because mages hated it so you add in trinkets that require the same thing?
Signet of the Priory, Hyperthread Wristwraps, Tome of Light’s Devotion, the Floodgate tank trinket, the Cinderbrew neck, and the barrel would like to know your location.
Not to mention being able to quickly get something in all your fungible slots instead of still running S1 items.
