Blame the people who donāt appear to be even playing the expansion. I remember one former MvP complaining about too much loot several times in BfA and I havenāt seen him post in months now.
My current record is 9 full clears with 0 loot other than gold. I was 3/4 bosses in to the 10th before I got a drop. It was a chest piece. My Legendary is my chest piece - I still counted it though.
Yeah I bet Blizzard had a meeting prior to launching Shadowlands and was like, āHey you know that, Varynt guy? Yeah we hate him, letās not give him loot, muahahahaha!!!ā.
So if three people didnāt get loot, that means the other two, did get loot? So dungeons are dropping loot, just you didnāt get any, so you took it personally and said that they are āPurposelyā not giving you any.
I get loot every run, might be a conduit, and upgrade, or something I have already. Maybe go do some other content for a while, and return to do another run.
The problem isnāt that heās thick, itās that he canāt state what his argument really is without outing himself as a jerk so he keeps repeating nonsense. Lol He wants the 5+ hours he plays this game a day to be more meaningful Via the community overall being less geared so when he AFKās on a stairway and people pass by him that he looks cool.
There is literally no good argument for incurring less reward for time spent, other than that. I had two max-geared, BIS tuned toons and a near 3k IO in season 4 of BFAāeven I had to wait a few minutes to get an inv to a group. Him acting as if the instant you want content you can jump right into it is just silly unless youāre a tank/healerāwhich he isnāt.
What I donāt understand is why they donāt do it by making the game alt-friendly. I donāt know a single person who plays the game that doesnāt at least have 2 max-level toons.
Well, definitely stay away from raiding, then. I spent a whole night in Normal/Heroic on Tuesday and got nothing. And itās loot-locked so I canāt even do them again this week.
So far, after tonight, Iām at 10 boss kills total (combining the two difficulties) and only have 1 piece of gear, which Iāll never use because itās terrible. None of which can be done again until next week.
Which is how it was in BFA⦠and in Legion⦠and in WoD, and MoP, and Cata, and⦠well I think you get the idea.
Sometimes you get loot, sometimes you donāt. That is the nature of RNG. Just because it doesnāt like you or your friends, doesnāt mean itās broken.
The problem is having conduit drops from bosses in the loot table. That takes away a chance for loot, decreasing your odds. Bfa was the same with azerite gear taking up spots. Legion you could get a legendary and piece of gear from a single boss! See clearly which expansion was more liked.
I did about 12 mythics today (mostly +, and 2 chested many of them), and received virtually nothing. Got a slight amount of anima. Thatās about it. Really donāt know how this is possible. And this is for gear that is only a few item levels of an upgrade in most of my slots. Canāt even get that. It does just feel terrible.
I was excited to do mythic + but now I donāt really know if I want to bother. Like I canāt get the gear to do the higher +s from doing +s? I feel like I wasted my time.
Sigh.
This is why I decided to bench my main and just do RBG/arena on my alt for a while. At least getting honor/conquest per match guarantees gear in the future, and I find the content more fun.
I hope they fix M+ eventually, but if not Iāll just be a semi-casual pleb and have fun doing PVP.
The scarcer gear change is 100% something theyāre going to look back on and say āIn retrospect, that was probably a mistake.ā Iām convinced of it already.
Iām inclined to agree. Iām not going to run unrewarding content, Iāll just go play something else eventually. At the moment Iām excited to gear out through BGs on my alt, then hop into rankedābut when that changes Blizzard will lose a sub. I suspect I wonāt be the only one.
