Dungeon Finder to include all xpacs, or multiple random queues

Just wanted to reiterate this: maybe allow an option for expanding Dungeon Finder to all dungeons across all xpacs, or to choose between xpacs and queue for multiple randoms. There are so many dungeons, and now so few levels.

I saw some people posting this already. Haven’t tried Dungeon Finder in prepatch yet myself but I think more freedom to this tool would be the cherry on top. Maybe let the freedom to do this as unlocked for your account once you get at least 1 max level (50 right now I guess).

Also don’t forget old max level dungeons as options (Pit of Saron, Heroic Deadmines, Zul’Aman, End Time, etc.)!

It could be nice getting exp for any dungeon until max level, since there are so many and now so few levels. Or exp until 50, then you must do Shadowlands content.

And I feel like we can all agree that we shouldn’t let the time and resources put into these go to waste. Especially if people want to get the chance to randomly queue it or run it for old times sake. Lots of great content, and so we don’t get tired of running the same ones?

I know this options comes up when queued for a while, but I heard it’s along 20 min. I think queuing for multiple or all randoms would cut it down significantly.

This also eliminates the possibility of when one xpac is not played as much, then being even longer wait times because so much less people queuing for that xpac. Or, when maybe during a certain time of day, there’s just less players in BC for example

Second this, locking to one list of dungeons is such a bad idea, they also should add heroic/mythic only dungeons to the lists such as the hour of twilight or later legion dungeons.

I think we should be allowed to queue for a random dungeon that would be pulling from all the old content, with the current system you only get a chance at dungeons from a different expansion than you chose if you wait long enough in queue. Before the squish we had the option to dungeon through all the different expansion content, depending on level, but now it feels like we are limited to only the expansion we picked.

yes I have to manually go through every single chromie option just to find the shortest que

I am leveling through cataclysm and I got a notification that the que time was going to be very long and got asked to que for other expansions. 1 minute later I was in The Maw from Legion.

I’m leveling my third new char to 50 since pre-patch this week. Not being able to Q into any dungeon from any expansion is causing me to have varying wait times from about 5 minutes (healer and tank) to 15-20 minutes as a DPS. The message that pops up saying " This is taking a while would you like to try finding other dungeons" varies on how long it takes to show up. Sometimes it pops at the 13 minutes mark, 15 minute, and sometimes 20+ minute mark. Yet the second I hit yes I’m always immediately put into a dungeon. This just shows me that there are plenty of groups waiting for all roles, but we can’t find them because they have locked us into only playing the dungeons from the expansion we are running in Chromie time.

If they would just give us an option that looks like the PvP choices that would improve this. Give 3 buttons that say something like, Current xpac dungeons, all dungeons, and custom choice. Honestly that shouldn’t be hard to implement and then everyone can do whatever dungeons they want and it would significantly cut Q times.

Agreed. No one really even cares staying in the same expac as your zone. Most people are just playing purely based on the zone they are leveling, then switching to a new one.

Get rid of this expac dungeon queue lock!!

I agree to this. as an alt-aholic, i would love to just que for random dungeons from all content, because i hate questing in certain eras and will not get to grp those dungeons.

I used to level most of my toons through a healthy bg/dungeon balance but this toon has been leveled through bgs alone because I don’t want to be forced into a BfA. Chromie time was in no way explained in game so I have no idea what to do there.

I can go look up something on wowhead, I guess, but I was definitely expecting to be told in game how to do this. After reading this thread, it looks like dungeons even in chromie time have horrendous waits, a fear I had when guesstimating what the chromie system would do to dungeons.

It all needs an overhaul, queuing for all pre-shadowlands dungeons, and go back and move the quests inside the dungeons for all old content also (they did this previously).
Also bring back item rewards for pre-50 dungeons.

Old thread but needs a bump. This needs to be a thing. When lvling an alt thats DPS, its not uncommon to have a 15 or 20 minute que. However, allowing all xpac dungeons to be qued at once should reduce the overall que time, as well as give a greater availability for older transmog pieces, not just being locked down to a single xpac.

in my que I just had, after 15 minutes it gavce me the option to open it to all so it is possible to do it. The mechanic is there, we just have no way to manually set it and there should be.

They changed leveling so that the old content would be buried. What you suggest would be unburying what they have claimed as DEAD content. But, I do agree with you, and disagree with the state that Blizzard has left every old expansion in. My self, I would love to be able to lock a toon at max level for Legion and still be able to empower my weapon and enjoy that content as it was when it was done!!! I could say just about the same for BFA as well, why not be able to level heart of Azeroth? But Blizzard isn’t about making people happy, they are only about making live streamers happy, so they can convince their lemmings to continue subscribing.
