For them to sit here and add HvH because it’s game breaking to wait 40+ minutes for a BG but then when people who may want to level via dungeons waiting hours for a group is nuts to me.
Idc what anyone’s opinion is, having anyone unable to play an aspect of the game is exactly the definition of game breaking.

Not necessarily. Plenty of people out in the world. If they banned bots, there’d be more too.
You keep acting like those of us against LFD can’t also be against same faction BGs.
They’re not completely unable to play an aspect of the game. They just don’t want to put the effort in.
Also, old dungeons are entirely irrelevant. There just aren’t many players looking for lower level dungeons period.

The BG wait is also mandatory.
You can’t enter a BG without queueing. But not every dungeon group will have to wait at all. Most of mine have no pugging at all, and therefore no wait.
So… the systems are different.
You dodged the meat of the argument, by the way. HvH fixed one faction having wait times when the other did not. Dungeon “wait times” are the same for each faction.
I use quotes because again, the wait times don’t necessarily exist at all. And before you hit me with “not everyone has friends willing to tank/heal/dungeon with them”, the point remains that you can entirely sidestep the queue, which you could not do, ever, with bgs.
Horde with friends wait time for a dungeon- none
Horde pugging wait time for a dungeon- an hour
Horde wait time for bgs before HvH- 40 minutes
Alliance with friends wait time for a dungeon- none
Alliance pugging wait time for a dungeon- an hour
Alliance wait times for bgs before HvH- none
The situations were equivalent, except the one that got changed.
I feel like needing a tool to find the dungeon is kind of self defeating. Isn’t part of the adventure exploration? Things have really changed. We’re in an era where people don’t even wanna look for the dungeon. They don’t care to look they just want to be teleported to it so they can say ‘ah yes, the dungeon is found’. Shame.
no because wow is fully solved and exploration is relic of that past.
imagine if there was a dungeon finder that lets you queue ALL dungeons and you would level sync to that dungeon but still get equivalent experience for completion. that way all older content stays relevant and new players and veterans would play together.
oh wait, only ffxiv does that.
I just leveled my GFs paladin 60-70 exclusively through dungeons, up to 68 I did it in prot spec, and 68-70 (+all the dungeons needed for SSC and TK attune) as ret. You guys are seriously exaggerating.

Ofc it is its literally a line, same thing would happen with LFD, it would be a line.
Sure, some wont have to wait at all like tanks and healers, but dps have always had a much harder time finding a group, which is typically why people are asking about LFD now.

Ofc 1 faction has a que time, they have much higher population numbers, thats how lines work.
At the end of the day i find it amusing that this much energy is being used to STOP people from running dungeons, something that is literally an irrelevant part of the game after you start raiding.

I prefer the long queue times. Nothing for me was fixed.

Yes you can I literally just did it last week no boosting 58-60 also hit 70 got gear ran Kara , gruul and mag. Its 100% possible and very easy to do.

I am playing classic, the burning crusade classic. You people have already been granted all these things you ask for. That’s why retail exists, go enjoy it.

Lotta good that did. And to answer your question no I don’t think they’re one and the same. I think the demographic that pushed for same-faction BGs are either against LFD or indifferent about to not care.
Except history repeats itself and I speak from a position of experience. I stood by the first time as the casual gamers came and ruined everything. It was just a couple quality of life requests here and there. Well they added up and look what happened. It’s better to leave things as they are, there is no need to change TBC, they have already over stepped and ruined the feel of the game.
