well you know what they say. #SomeChanges
From what I can tell, this either comes from being completely out of touch with what the community wants, and or being greedy in hopes that this creates more server transfers. But at the end of the day, even if you catch some server transfers (I’d be willing to bet that the majority were on the fence / considering doing so anyway) wont outweigh the people that think this just isn’t worth it anymore, and flat out cancel their subscriptions. RDF is probably the biggest quality of life perk in wrath.
I’m not really all that interested in investing time and grinding the way I did in wrath. Dungeons are a nightmare when scanning LFG or Bulletin Boards, EVEN MORE SO when considering alts. RDF solves basically all the problems mentioned above. But yes, continue to promote the idea that Blizz is out of touch and private servers keep managing to do it better…
let’s see, the MMO is when you set up a group for raiding, also to make 2s or 3s in pvp, also to make a group of a*s crackers in the bgs called premade, the group finder in dungeons is a tool that helps you level up a little easier and get the coins for a decent set for raiding.
I am part of the community THAT WANTS DUNGEON FINDER! I have talked to so many more people who wish dungeon finder was just put into classic now instead of waiting on wrath… seriously, not having the dungeon finder is going to hurt the population more than help it.
Everyone in my large guild wants it who said they didnt BNET …
Blizzard just did. So gg
I recommend opening the game and going to support and making a suggestion to keep LFD in wotlk .
I dont trust Ion as far as I can throw him but LFD has always been one of the primary things brought up when the topic is ‘changes that killed WoW’.
I haven’t been playing wow really as much, but I don’t get the decision at all. I’ve always been a firm “if it was in the expansion” dude. Although LRD was late in the expansion, it was still part of WOTLK. It should be in WOTLK classic.
which might not be far since he’s looking a bit stout wfh appears to have had a chunkifying effect
yeah brought up but if blizz is unwilling to rip the bandaid and just link all servers within their playstyle catagory so that everyone can better find groups the attrition will be what kills this iteration of the game not claims of anti-social behavior
No Wotlk RDF = Not Playing It.
You know what killed WoW?
Ion treating the non-bleeding edge raiders like shinola.
When 2 people get to your dungeon and summon you, you better not accept it, that would ruin your immersion. Forget that, they should just go back to meeting stones and attunements, right? Remove flying mounts too, flying ruins social interaction. Everything should take an excessive amount of time and be hard gated to allow only the most grizzled hardcore WoW veterans to even have the shred of willpower log in. Don’t you all have guilds? We should be thankful.
WoW was/is a victim of its own success.
In the drive to bring in more players and more money, it had to develop multiple tracks of advancement for differing playstyles. By doing this the us vs them mentality was fed and continues to grow. It’s so divisive but it could only grow as people continued to buy in and Blizzard capitalized on FOMO.
It didn’t start with Ion but he’s done little to change things. Including with the just announced expac.
Agree 100% ADD DUNGEON FINDER!!
You talk about being “counterproductive” a lot.
You realize that believing dungeon finder “ruining” WoW is counterproductive?
It’s literally a video game, some people actually have lives unlike you and aren’t complete meta slaves and want to clear content and have fun.
Plus dungeon finder was literally in wrath. Lfg and bulletin board are unproductive wastes of time. Dungeon finder is just better in every way.
Plus what social interactions are you talking about? This isn’t 2004 anymore. You’re literally doing the same dungeons you’ve done when you’ve played the game probably 100s of times.
Let’s take two steps forward instead of two steps back.
There’s nothing stopping people from finding groups.
Accessibility - which is a double edged sword if youre not careful.
That’s one of the dumber things I’ve seen posted in quite some time.
Would a hug help?
Are you saying that people do not have difficulty? I know people have the ability to form/find groups now but even if the spirit is willing but the supporting manpower sometimes isn’t there.
I am saying that if Blizzard would link all pvp to pvp and all pve to pve then we would have basically one server for each playstyle. Then servers with low pop overall or just by faction would have a much easier time finding a group with or without the dungeon finder making them want to stay with the game and keep that sweet sweet sub money coming in. If the dungeon finder was put in at that point, it would be like having it for a single server if all were connected.
