Does dungeon loot even have any bad luck protection?

There has never been any confirmation of bad luck protection in dungeons except when bonus rolls were a thing. They went away in Shadowlands.
I ran 5 +6 keys last week with no drops, but Iâm used to it happening.
Dungeons have the âBLPâ of being able to run them infinitely many times to force the item you want to eventually drop (which is absurd, and something that I think should be removed).

So whereâs the bad luck protection for the vault, because I cant count how many times Iâve opened my vault only to have nothing in there be any kind of upgrade or having the same kind of item slot be given across a whole row.
Specific loot ? yea i think i was after the wrists from Brackenhide Hollow in season 1, i think it took about 10 or more tries, m+ forget about it lol , since theres only 2 drops per run
Iâve run dungeons many, many times without the specific piece (or pieces) of loot I needed dropping. There is no bad luck protection. There could be. It would be possible to create some sort of bad luck protection based on the theoretical probability for a certain selected boss.

people asking for badluck protection to rng brings back terrible memories from dungeons and dragons and how i quit.
collected materials to craft some bis shield i wanted for a long time. found the best craftsman in the server and payed the blood price.
critical failure caused my materials to turn to ash and burned away hundreds of hours.
the day i quit.
