Why is this debuff applied when you are vote kicked? I can understand it being applied for when you leave on your own, but I don’t understand why when it is applied when you get kicked. And you can get kicked for anything, up to and including someone not liking you or someone in your guild

But yeah im not sure why it gave you deserter… I got kicked last night from one for literally 0 reason and I didnt have the debuff, but I could not requeue due to the 15 min timer.

it is applied for being vote-kicked because tanks with instant queues would bypass the debuff by forcing groups to kick them.
it didn’t use to be like this, but player behavior made it necessary to be like this.

It happens this way because people (specifically tanks) used to hold dungeon groups hostage and force them to vote kick if RDF didn’t produce a dungeon they wanted.
