I will not waste my time doing bosses that I have already defeated for the week for no reward.
Dungeon Deserter will not stop me from leaving. It also will not stop me from being invited into groups.
Dungeon Deserter does not punish me, because the punishment is irrelevant and does not apply to me.
Do you know who Dungeon Deserter actually punishes?
The poor DPS player base who are just making ends meet and who are just starting out and need gear from LFR for whatever reason, since there are more DPS players in a typical raid, the chances of a DPS player dropping out for whatever reason in the middle of the raid is higher than usual.
Now that hour long queue DPS player is punished by your one size fits all system and cannot do LFR or dungeons and can only do delves and world quests (instead of having the option of dungeons, LFR, delves, and world quests). Why are you punishing the disadvantaged (DPS)?
Why are you limiting the poor DPS players from gearing up quickly with this punishment?
Itâs like raising taxes on the poor, or throwing the poor and disadvantaged into jail for petty crimes. We have bail reform for a reason.
Think about it, and change the dungeon deserter punishment for LFR.
Again, this does not effect me because I am not a DPS player and/or need LFR gear so I am posting this entirely out of the kindness of my own heart.
I just leave and play another game for 30 minutes. Lately Iâve been forgetting to come back to queue again though, the longer Iâm away from the game the less addicted I become.
Least have decency to stick it through till the end. This is how you get bad rep as a raider cause no one will trust you to stay and you will get denied runs.
âMaybe if I say Iâm less addicted to the game because of the deserter debuff a decision maker at Blizzard will take me seriously and say they need to take away the deserter debuff!â
Except you get the deserter debuff when you leave the âfresh instanceâ after you kill the only boss you needed. Regardless of how you cut it, you end up wasting time (killing bosses that drop no loot or deserter).
Itâs poor design, and like I said, Iâm happy to just play other games.
Ok, princess. Then what do you think happens when you leave that fresh instance after downing the missed bosses. Much worse if you had 2 partial wings, because now you canât even accrue queue time for both.
Attempting to force punishment on people who leave instances is always a terrible idea. And itâs the reason why this new problem even exists, whiners about H dungeon groups.
I will just make sure that if I have to re-queue, itâs the last thing I do for the day so that the debuff doesnât affect the rest of my gameplay.
But⌠honestly, that debuff only affects queued content. Iâm not running Normals or Heroics if Iâm after LFR gear. So itâs pretty irrelevant if it sits there for a half hour after I log out.
It shouldnât be. Queue for both wings at the same time, run them back to back, then go queue for the bosses you missed in a wing.
And what do you do after you get your fresh run and get the boss or bosses down that you needed? Because you donât get loot from bosses you already killed. Are you wasting your time to finish the run? Because no one has ever done this. Ever.
No one put that much thought into it. They got whined at because of dungeon quitters that didnât harm anyone, and changed Deserter into something thatâs actively harmful.
As soon as the next LFR wing opens, quitters there wonât matter either. Anyone who just wants a full vault will happily take the partial and clean them out of the queue.
