Dungeon Deserter for Raid in LFR - Boss was dead?

I queued up for LFR to practice the Anduin fight before running the raid on heroic with my guild later today. After 20 min, I was finally put into a group. The group was already working on the 2nd boss. Anduin had already been defeated. I didn’t see any message or alert that could’ve given me any idea about this before I accepted the invite. I put a message in raid chat and left the group. I got the Dungeon Deserter debuff for this.
If you’re going to load me into an instance where half the content is over, Blizzard, please do not give me a debuff if I leave within a reasonable time frame. Or display some sort of warning message that one of the bosses is dead. Something. Anything. Very frustrating when I’ve spent the entire season watching Mythic + deserters leave with no consequences, over and over.

They stopped showing you the progress of LFR because then groups in progress would never complete. Also, comparing queued content with non-queued content is pretty cringe.

I actually wasn’t comparing the content. I added one sentence about Mythic + deserting at the end to illustrate why this felt frustrating to me. I certainly wouldn’t want to post anything that you see as “pretty cringe” … :joy:

So you joined a group. Deserted it immediately. And are upset?

So, you ignored the point of the post, made assumptions about my emotional state (LOL), and added some extra sarcasm without actually providing any constructive feedback or opinions. On a post that’s been dead for 8 days.

If you could zone in, and within a minute leave without deserter, i would be selling tank ques all night and day. Would lead to a bit of degenerate game play, but hey i could use a new revenue stream so i am all for it

In… LFR? I think your logic is flawed there.
