So wait. The LFR queue will put me in an instance where the first boss is dead, but when I sit through another DPS queue and then leave after the first boss (having no point in doing the 2nd boss a 2nd time and potentially hurting the group by removing a potential loot drop for being saved) I get the Dungeon Deserter Debuff?
While this isn’t an issue this week with only one wing open, it will become an issue in the future. Do you have any thoughts on reverting this to “if you contributed, you get no penalty” or not putting DPS in half-completed LFR’s.
M+ offers better gear and more of it why not donate over lfr
Exactly.
I had to queue for this LFR twice.
First queue - I was placed in a group that had already downed first boss
Second queue - I was placed in a fresh group and killed the first boss i need for the week so I left
I got slapped with dungeon deserter (30minutes)
yes, that is how the system works.
It’s not supposed to, if you’ve completed encounters in the LFR you shouldn’t get flagged with the deserter debuff.
they changed that at our request due to people leaving ara’kara after spider boss.
Seems like they should treat dungeons and raids separately for the purpose of deserter then. Someone leaving after a raid encounter isn’t putting undue burden on the group and most likely they’re only leaving because they were forced into a raid with that encounter already complete in the first place.
of LFR is real raiding, then yes, they are hurting their group for leaving.
Not if I’m leaving on a boss I’m saved to, when staying would potentially remove a 4th/5th peice of loot being available for the rest of the group.
Also, if your comment is “LFR isn’t real raiding” sure, then Heroic dungeons don’t count either?
don’t count for what? heroic dungeons are also not real raiding.
