the dungeon assistance button is missing in the 2nd Follower dungeon that I tried which is Algethar Academy.

Same issue myself.
As of today, I have the same issue on my warrior - except it is spec related. Fury = No button. Prot = Button.
I worked around it by creating a macro:
#showtooltip
/cast Dungeon Assistance
