The elusive quickhoof in Vol’dum is quite rare. It has a long spawntime. The friendly alpaca in BfA Uldum is not. But on a busy server it may be hard to find.

I’ve seen the elusive quickhoof a number of times. The image of the baby you see in the wowhead link is wrong. It actually looks like any other alpaca, but it has a green name.

I stumbled on him by accident. Was walking around just south of the Vulpera hideout, mining and he was just standing there. Wasn’t sure what he was at first so I said hi and got the mount. Was quite a pleasant surprise.

I’m going to tame the Elusive Quickhoof. I have all the other mount rares.

You can with that knife that makes you hostile to everyone in WM.

That’s how I tamed the Ivory Cloud Serpent.

The Servant of N’Zoth toy? I wouldn’t have that. The only times I’ve seen it used was to gank lowbies of the same faction in safe zones, which I really think should be something Blizzard shouldn’t be encouraging.

I’ve never ganked anyone with it. I just used it to tame normally untamable pets.

I found that alpaca the easiest to get and to date it’s my only one. :frowning: Carried around (still do) the herbs for the Vol’dun one but never saw it, never heard it called out, used to camp areas all day while working…gave up on that one…

That’s quite the collection.
I have a Hunter with Soundless and Deepglider, that’s more than enough for me.

Do you try to avoid others when going for the pets or is it just a free for all, best cow wins?

I tamed all those guys in WM. My personal philosophy was if someone wanted that rare bad enough, they can try to kill me.

I’m lucky enough to have all 3 alpaca mounts. Good luck to everyone else still chasing them down. :smiley:

The only draw back to having them all is you can’t use all 3 at the same time.

Would love to ride one and have the other two just hang out. Maybe graze a little or hope in a circle.
