Calia Menethil will somehow be turned evil by Derek Proudmore’s secret evil mindcontrolled whatever-they-did-to-him and the two of them will kill Sylvanas and take over the Forsaken. The Horde will mourn and try to kill them as they start a third faction.
Azshara will also join the third faction, and we’ll see playable naga and other character models of villain races we’ve killed, like eredar lords, gnolls, murlocs and some other elf - probably high elves because Ion hates us.
The next expac will be either off-world into another dimension or time travel and will feature things like boat mounts that work in water but are time gated behind a huge rep grind. By the time you get the mount, you won’t be in that zone anymore.
If they go the time travel route, we’ll meet characters before they were evil or died. So hello to non-dead Sylvanas, Arthas before he takes the cursed sword, non-LK Bolvar (again), Anduin Lothar, Uther, Vol’jin, etc. We get quests to tutor faction leaders as children as part of time travel children’s week.

sylvanas makes a deal with gorak tul because he and his vrykul can sense helyas essence in her from her bargain wherein he would grant her and her followers the power of drust necromancy to bolster the tiny amount of val’kyr left and with the shared goal of the downfall of kul tiras and the promise of immortality
but when she brings her armies of forsaken and dark rangers to drustvar to begin the invasion, helya, through gorak tul takes a giant chunk of the assembled forsaken and all the recently raised dark rangers (including delaryn and sira) as her payment for her bargain in helheim and begins slaughtering everyone and using horde and alliance alike to create a new army of undead and drust constructs, creating a new dungeon and raid
but of course they wouldnt do that because thats dumb and boring and the old gods again are much more interesting right!
