I know I am not the first to speak up on this, but can we please get some better love with the next duelist enchant for season 4? From what I’ve seen and who I’ve talked to, it seems S2’s Shadowflame was a big success. The purple and red flames engulfing weapons is flashy and perfect for showing off. Primal Storm and Verdant Crush, while they aren’t terrible, are definitely lacking that wow factor.
TLDR:
can we please see better illusions in the future for the duelist reward. Me and I’d like to think most others desire flashy and vibrant enchants akin to glorious tyranny and demonic tyranny.

I agree s2 was great s1 was laughably bad and s3 isn’t necessarily bad but it’s tailor made for 3-4 of the healing specs and basically no one else
MoP, WoD, Legion had the best PvP illusions

MoP was the best by far simply because it was so strong that it hit people offline originally. We need more of that energy in pvp enchants again.

I know the haters will come with their forks pointing by saying this, but since S4 highlight will be Pandamonium, would be great to bring Bloody Dancing Steel (Glorious Tyranny) illusion back.

I prefer the new style of illusions. I find them much more interesting than “potent glow in X color”.

S2 would have been soooo much better if they doubled down on the lightning effects instead of adding a crappy wind effect.
Like a pulsing lightning coat over the skin with arcing lightning effects.
I’m hoping S4 is some kind of blue dragon arcane effect.
I’d agree if the effect wasn’t so lackluster
If it consumed your weapon with lightning and clouds it could be cool

Can they also do something for hunter weapons? Kinda lame that ranged weapons are still just left out of the weapon enchant appearances when those are the rewards for things.

they’ve actively gone back and broke the few ranged weapons the illusions worked on.

I didn’t know there were any. Still not really sure why they aren’t included, seems totally arbitrary
Whenever this is brought up it puts me in a state of bewilderment that their weapons don’t have access to illusions.
It is such a massive oversight.

I did some research, apparently a Violet Gladiator drake was datamined recently for the upcoming season. It’s a recolor of S1 gladiator mount and it is blue/purple. This leads me to believe that the next gladiator season is called Violet Gladiator and we will see a purple colored duelist enchant.
Anybody know what it’s going to be yet?
Pretty sure it’s on wowhead now. Seen the gif floating around discord. Season name is Draconic
