15+ years in and Blizzard STILL CAN"T get dual wielders love. Trying to catch up my DH but I get a single one hand off of Nathanos. All my staff/polearm toons are loving it, but wtf Blizz.
Really, you should stick with playing Go Fish as you can’t figure the simplest balance mechanic out. This is not the first expac where your head is up your a$$.
If you kill him twice you can equip two glaives.
If you’d killed him last week you’d have 2 weapons.
Nope. Just killed him 5 minutes ago and could not loot and I looted him on Sunday.
How did you NOT get 2 glaives in a row??
You could kill him twice already. All my dual wielders got two weapons from him.
Were you a zombie - no loot for zombies.
I farmed him last week: Got a Glaive. Farmed him again this week, got my second glaive.
If anything it was unfortunate off hands like shields didnt drop.
I got two weapons from him too but the first was 2H so it wasn’t exactly helpful for DW.
I had that happen to one of my caster - one hand first week and staff second but since I wanted a staff I was completely fine with that. All my dw got lucky, even my two dks with one handers both times.
That is what I am trying to understand. I could not loot him and I killed him on Sunday.
Loot is automatic like a WQ. You don’t actually loot him.
I’m not trying to sound condescending but are you sure you didn’t get any loot? They made it a WQ so the weapon gets put into your inventory automatically; you don’t actually grab it off his body.

for my monk i set my loot pref to brewmaster and got the staff week 1…?
This. I thought I didn’t get a weapon a couple of times, but when I looked for weapons in my inventory, the weapon from the world quest was there. It didn’t flash on the screen like it typically does, so I wasn’t aware that the weapon had actually dropped.
The OP should definitely have had two chances for loot from the Nathanos wq. If they didn’t get 2 chances, there’s something wrong.
