I’ve always loved the 2h play style. Big hits and big crits. A fat 2h WF proc with crits is the epitome of dopamine production in WoW.
Dual wielding ESPECIALLY with the dumb ability lavalash has always been underwhelming. It removed the excitement of Windfury, our most iconic and rewarding ability as enhancement. Going dual wield and then putting flametounge on your offhand so it can do a little tickle of fire damage? I’d rather not. Lavalash… why does it exist, it’s boring. You only use it when you literally can’t use anything else.
Anyway just give us our 2h back, let me play the spec I love just one time without being harassed and bullied about being a meme spec.
Well for starters we only know information on rune levels 1-25…
Also, You guys are focusing too much on judging the 1h enhancement and not concentrating your energy on what they can add for 2h runes…
This statement also followed with “Blizzard is listening to player feedback regarding that.”
Instead of whining about what we don’t like we need to start giving brilliant ideas for runes to spark their interest.
As a 2-hand shaman, with Lava burst being in, couldn’t you weave in Lava burst in between 2 handed swings to continually proc the 9% crit from elemental devastation and flurry (at 60 of course)? That would make your runes for those 3 spots Overload (chance for double crit lava bursts), Lava burst, and Shamanistic rage for mana?
Rotation something like (assuming 3.5 speed 2H weapon):
0.0 secs - Flame shock
0.0 secs - Melee swing
1.5 secs - Lava burst AUTO CRIT (procs 9% melee crit bonues and flurry) + overload chance
3.5 secs - Melee swing (bonuses still up)
3.5 secs - Stormstrike
5.0 secs - Earth shock
7.0 secs - Melee swing (bonuses still up)
9.5 secs - Lava burst AUTO CRIT (procs 9% melee crit bonues and flurry) + overload chance
10.5 secs - Melee swing (bonuses still up)
12.0 secs - Earth Shock (Stormstrike still up, falls off on this shock)
14.0 secs - Melee swing (bonuses still up)
15.5 secs - Stormstrike
17.0 secs - Flame Shock refresh
17.5 secs - Melee swing (bonuses still up)
18.5 secs - Lava burst AUTO CRIT (procs 9% melee crit bonues and flurry) + overload chance
19.0 secs - Earth shock
21.0 secs - Melee swing (bonuses still up)
etc etc etc.
All that with windfury on the constantly hasted and 9% crit buffed 2 hander? I didn’t even account for flurry hasted melee swings in here so the dps would be higher.
All that while needing way less hit and having the ability to get double auto crit lava bursts and ensure a crit at a specific time? Windfury + overload seems like it would be RNGesus that averages out to pretty decent.
2 Hand seems like it would be okay, just with lava burst for auto-crit uptime of buffs instead of lava lash. Using rage as necessary for mana and pots + the regen skills we’re getting from some other classes. Only seems to be 2 second breaks in the rotation at most and you would prob have to back off a bit for threat.
One would have thought that the mad science experiment of SoD would have been the perfect place to try out 2H Enhance.
We’re getting rogue tanks and healing mages and they didn’t think that it would also be a good time to throw something at 2H Enhance. Who cares if it turns out to be broken, it’s not like half of the changes aren’t already.
I see SoD as a place where the devs can’t do anything wrong. Add in whatever. Hell, throw in DKs. Who cares. Keep experimenting, something fun would come out of the mix.
Yeah, not adding Runes/support for 2H Enhance is a big miss on Blizz’s part. No joke only reason I was planning to play SoD was nostalgia for my 2H WF Shammy from Vanilla thinking they were going to add some quality of life for the spec… Nope they added Dual wield and nothing for 2H so it’s a no go.
I don’t play Shaman on Retail because…guess why… No 2H Enhance spec, that’s why.
