Dual Talents In TBC?

This is just my opinion, but I think that we should have dual talents in TBC. No one really likes going from raids to pvp and thinking “Damn it, if I want to pump in arenas I am going have to spend my gold just to que for an hour”. Dual talent should just be brought in since there is no real reason not to, it is not game breaking and is just a little qol change I think many would enjoy.

IIRC you didn’t have dual talents but you could “save” two preferred specs to swap between them at the talent trainer. I think that was about it.

I also think it was capped at 50g respec cost.

Yes but you could have a dual spec that you swap between, no trainer needed or gold cost. The only gold cost is to purchase it.

I’m not thinking blizz will go for it. They were really resistant to changes (that benefited) players for classic.

They changes a lot of stuff that was QoL for classic if I remeber correctly. I don’t see why they wouldn’t do this QoL change.

The changed how mail was handled. It’s slightly faster to open mail but most things were reverted and people, like in Vanilla, made addons to deal with the QOL changes that were reverted.

As for your main topic. I would prefer they wait till Wrath to make Dual Spec a thing.

I’d personally prefer if they kept it as true to the original as possible. If they go back and do some kind of TBC Remastered, then they can make those changes.

I get some people want it “Pure” TBC but with people already knowing all the fights, everything is going to be post nerf, and people have tons more gear on top of better internet and pc I doubt you can really make it “Pure”. Dual talents would just save you 50g every time you wanted to do an arena or raid and save you the trip back to org/sw.

I didnt realize you worked at blizzard to know what version of the game we are getting. While i could apply your argument to nearly every part of the game to say why dont we have X because we have Y information/gameplay that makes it better to me. I personally think that its a good gold sink and one that should be continued until the time that it was actually removed.

I think the opposite. Respec should instead reset your level to 1 so you have to level up again. Like when people prestige level.

Talents should not be easily mutable.

Im trying to remember. was there a separate spec applied to arena? I dont remember respeccing for arena every time but i also dont remember dual spec being a thing.

You say this because you have been playing since day 1 and have gold cap on 10 characters. I just started classic and wanting to spending so much gold to do a certain form a content is absurd to me. It’s just pay to win at this point since so many people just buy gold which they use for leveling, prof leveling, mounts, talent resets, etc. The gold sink will never be important when people can buy thousands of gold for next to nothing in real money.

Luckily, you’re a hunter, and there’s plenty of gold to be made.

Actually I rolled Warrior/rogue.

Both of those classes can farm GSPP’s and other in-demand consumables used for Naxx.

EDIT: NVM I’m in Classic mode…it will be TBC…you can just do dailies and make money through professions. Farm primals…

Primals are going to be spawn camped from day 1 of launch. I don’t see the point in saying “just farm gold”, yes I could farm the gold but I just wanted a QoL change that would only really affect the people who don’t buy gold (which you still get bought gold from all the people that buy it then buy your auctions), which bring up the price on everything so you have to farm more for less. This would save thousands of gold over the course of TBC and would just make it more enjoyable to switch talents. You can still spend 50g on your talents to reset them if you dont want prot/fury you could do prot/arms fury/arm, do whatever you want. Just have ease of access for the talent swap.

Nope. There was only one spec until Wrath.

a lot of people have no idea what they are talking about, you will have to have some of your raiders respec mid raid just to do fights in TBC but they scream no change then you tack on pvp specs. I hope they at least give us dual spec and less restrictions on layers for a smaller world in TBC.

I doubt we will get anything since people who want no changes scream louder then the ones who want QoL changes like dual spec. They also have all the big streamers on their side with their mindless drones, hard to beat that…
