And yes I was raiding in a proper spec, though our first KT kill we did have one ret paladin lol.
It cost basically nothing to respect at the moment so there is no excuse to have people raid in pvp / non optimal specs, that’s why they should remove that ability completely not give dual specs and make it even easier.
2019 classic perfectly captured the feeling of vanilla for me. Felt great, did every raid as Ret, chatted with the boys, did some quests, all around great time. Even leveled side by side with my friend from middle school, was fun.
Frostbite, Permafrost, Imp CS, Winter’s Chill (cuz you know there is enough room for debuffs).
For PvE you take Frost Channeling (not so much for pvp). Do you even pick up Arctic Reach for PvE? Been while since I raided in classic.
For Hunter;
You dont pick Imp Concussive shot for PvE… ur a fool if you dont pick it up for PvP.
For PvP you dont even pick up Trueshot Aura. I dont even pick up Counterattack in my pvp spec. Imp CS, Imp Traps, Imp WC is good enough. I mean you pick up Imp FD for PvE and not for PvP.
I hope that help your …?
PvP spec hunter will go OOM in less then a min in PvE.
you still get all those things… they are assumed in the 20 pts in survival lol
Edit: So the standard spec works fine for pve and pvp. However, if you have enough hit gear you can min/max pve and take the points out of survival and put them into BM. Alternatively if you pvp only and people are really geared, you can drop the last 6 points of marks and put them into survival to get counterattack.
But personally I enjoy the well rounded 0-31-20 spec.
There is no best possible spec for classic pvp hunter. There are some talents that you should absolutely get for pvp but there is still quite a bit of freedom along the way, in which you can be a bit better at teamplay, 1v1s, etc.
The best spec would need to be aligned not only with your goals and team, but also with how the actual game unfolds, which is basically impossible to reliably predict.
And you dont have to pretend the other option is remotely close to gamebreaking either, its not retail, its classic.
Dude there is basically close to no difference between both trees aside very situational elements which to be fair a grenade and consumables alone would be far more effective than hoping for a concussive shot stun which is a bonus not something reliable.
Stop pretending its rocket science its ridiculous ez to use the pve spec in classic as pvp for hunter and mages, hell even rogues it is possible to just go as combat.
Classic pvp is heavily influenced by consumables gimmicks and eng and most talents arent exactly that great on the very same thing they intend to optmize but they are something.
It doesnt help me nor you in fact lol.
It doesnt.
Almost everybody did. In fact it was far more effective to just buy faps and use grenades than to rely on super rng talents that will most likely not help you are already stuck in a deadzone or while stunned.
He thinks these are gamebreaking talents lol.
I got almost full t1 by phase 2 and only went to rank 8 due when quit classic pvp because the consumables being spent on every CD in ranking was insane for me lol.
Now chilling and memeing around with a ret pally in era.
Fair. By all means there are meele hunter specs in classic fueled with spellpower they can also work if your goal is go full meme and get some laughs killing people with immolate trap and wingclip rank 1 spam with thunderfury.
Objectively though the pve tree works for pvp just fine. Which is something you failed to argument against soo far.
In TBC the pve tree was just not reliable to pvp at all though, dont remember wotlk.
Well… Since I got 2 chars to r11. I can tell you I hardly if ever had to use consumables. Plus, 99% of the time I ran bgs solo. You dont have to use engineering or consumables. Will they help? absolutely.
Just because you said this makes me think you dont know what ur talking about. Same for Mage a PvP spec mage will go OOM much faster then a PvE spec one.
Agreed I don’t really understand it either. If you want heroic dungeons, talent changes, updated raids, dungeon finder, increased class and race options etc. there’s currently two version of Warcraft that offer all these right now there’s no reason to wait, just go play them.
I think SoM will be for changes and Era is for those that want a vanilla feel. A lot of people are asking for Fresh but with Era… I just dont see a Fresh server lasting too long. I could be wrong.
