Well whatever dual spec will be out next week and we’ll once again see that there’s only a couple switching specs in raids.
yeah lets make sure we create a barrier to play the game so that some guy on the forums can feel good about his life
…k
People said this about Dual Spec in WoTLK too. You’re not saving time by swapping specs mid run.
As a lock tank deep in the demo tree for soul link and spec on both talents and runes for mitigation, that example rings false. Swapping out meta, master channeler and pact for chaos bolt, lake of fire and incinerate on fights that we only need one tank for is a large increases, and only a little lower than when I am dpsing while also talent spec for damage over mitigation. Rune swaps are definitely having a large effect mid raid, as my co tank shaman buddy will also attest.
Honestly, I am looking forward to dual spec, mainly because I like to experiment but feel like I shouldn’t, because it would be effectively wasting other people’s time to show up to a raid or dungeon with a build I “just want to try out real quick.” I am sorry you thought Season of Discovery was just going to be era again, but it seems weird that you expected everything to be the same in a mode intended to be both different and transient.
Why? It should be able to be changed whenever you wanna change it. This restriction you want added, for what reason?
Can we freely swap specs when out of combat? I never read the details on how exactly it works.
If so that’s great for QoL. It’s just a big time waste to have to port to a city and have people run out to summon you (or you have to hoof it back if there aren’t summons) just to swap specs for raid fights or whatnot.
I’ll bet money that we get our dual spec, no one cries about it and then no one ever talks about it ever again because we all know it’s a good addition
A lot of people want it actually. I want to play shadow/disc conveniently, without having to constantly respec in a city. If you don’t like it, that’s your opinion to have but let other people enjoy it. I fail to understand the issue here.
A lot of people want to change to pvp spec and/or farming spec. Very few non-retailers want to use it to ruin raids and spec identity by changing per boss basis.
Time will tell.
I dont know what SoD is even suppose to be, seems like an abomination. Retail got put in a cloning machine with SoM and they just fused both pieces a garbage together to make it. Lol
So what exactly in SoD is retail? Dual spec is WOTLK, most of the skill are a mixed bag… where is the retail in it?
I mean you like it, I don’t like it. Who cares? We don’t have to all like the same things.

Yeah why not put trainers in every dungeons/raids instead? Towns are useless anyway, RPG elements are useless too! And why pay for dual spec? should be free IMO, it’s a seasoned game afterall, every game should be a boring mobile games IMHO.
/s ofc
To be honest, WoW Classic could use less “time sinks”. I think that is why classic version aren’t as popular as retail. If they ever do Classic+ I hope they incorporate many things they have done in SoD. This version of the game is absolutely amazing, and has gotten me back into WoW for the first time in about 8 years. The changes the devs have made with classes with the introduction of runes have made such a good impact on how the classes play and feel for 2024 standards. You still have to manage mana, but your abilities feel more impactful.
This version of the game has enough time sinks with how the questing system works. Going across the world, back and forth, multiple times in a row is NOT fun. IDLE gameplay is NOT fun. This version needs less of this. Let’s hope if they do classic+ after SoD we get this, and not more of it as you suggest.
However, if you think it’s a great idea, you could take it over to retail’s forums and suggest it there.
I bet you will use it and never complain about it ever again after a week and it will just be an after thought and most likely save you time.
You’ll never be able to admit it’s good though, tragic
Because Argentina thinks if they continute to be miserable enough Blizzard will listen to them and not the actual Majority.
Why shouldnt we be able to change spec when we want?
Because apparently it will cut down on ppl in cities when it 100 percent won’t.
Thats a terrible argument. I have yet to read a actual reason why talents and specs being able to freely change is a bad thing. Its just a bunch wah wah retail bad. I dont get it what does the game lose if we can change talents when we want?
