Dual Spec Requirement on 2022, May 10th?!?

Returning plaayer to retail and cant remeber how to dual speck. Went to monk trainer per google serch for infi. But cant seam to dual spec. So what lvl requirements are in place for dual speck

There is no “dual spec” requirement anymore. You can switch between any of your class’s specs pretty much at will as long as you’re not in combat.

Just hit “n” (default for specializations/talents). As long as you are not in combat, just pick one and it will switch over. I’m trying to remember how much dual spec originally cost back in the day…it’s been a minute and a half haha.

IIRC, back in the day dual spec cost 30 or 50g for the first respec and then had an escalating cost until some limit was reached. Might be totally wrong though.

These days, trainers only really serve two purposes. The first is that they have some dialog explaining how specs work when you’re doing the tutorial from exile’s reach. The second is that you can talk to them to enter the proving grounds (which is available at level 50.) The proving grounds are just a little training area. It’s an older feature from MoP that’s mostly abandoned these days, but I find it useful for testing UI stuff and experimenting with keybindings.

That sounds more like the respec fees. In Wrath, they added dual spec that effectively let you save two different spec load outs that you could swap between without the respec cost. (You could even use them for variations on the same spec.) The original cost to unlock it was high. Something like 1000g. They pretty quickly dropped it to a more nominal amount so people could pick it up while leveling. (They even refunded the gold to people who bought it at the high cost — the only time I can think of them doing something like that.)
